My biggest complaint about the Apple TV has been its poor ergonomics that leads to a terrible user experience. It is so thin and flat that it is difficult to pick up off of most surfaces. The symmetry makes it had to figure out the correct orientation, especially in the dark. The responsive track pack is great in use, but far too easy to inadvertently hit when picking up and trying to figure out which was is up. This silicone case solves all of these issues. Elevating the remote slightly with a grippy material makes is easy to pick up. A window for the track pack and buttons makes orientation simple to figure out whether or not I am looking at it. The small ridge around the button opening eliminates unintended button presses. The slightly larger form factors makes it less likely to slip in between couch cushions. Lastly, the magnets in on the back opens up more options for storing in a place it can be easily found. I was so delighted with my first one I bought a second.

I quite like this case. I've always found the Apple TV remote to be a bit of a slippery customer and the shape and texture of this case helps me use it more easily by bulking it up a bit and keeping it from slipping in my hand. It also keeps it from sliding around on whatever I set it on. While it does make the remote look a bit less minimalist and sleek, it's easier to operate with the case and as far as case options go, this is decent looking. It also went on very easily. My one disappointment is that I'd hoped the magnets embedded in the case would be able to hold it on the side of the metal framed side table next to the couch, but they aren't quite strong enough to keep it from sliding down/falling off. I still think it's a good product and would still recommend it.

So like, this thing is a lifesaver. I guess I should break it down to like Pros and Cons instead of a big paragraph eh? PROS! :) -Silicone-type material feels great! Definitely will protect against drops that may crack the remote -The contour shape on the back might be the best thing about this. Satisfying to hold and makes the remote feel more substantial and easy to hold -Magnet addition is a nice bonus, and its nicely hidden even with this frosted transparent one I have. I do really like this transparent frosted white glowy one because the apple logo is just subtly visible. -Looks official. I know theres a lot of brands that make this but this one really looks the most legit and not cheap -You can easily click the sides of the touch pad to skip forward or back, your finger just slightly pushes the side of the case out of the way and you dont even really notice. I was skeptical at first when I saw this listing but its a non-issue. -I DIDN'T KNOW IT CAME WITH A WRIST STRAP and its so amazing! Not only does it add something to it to make it harder to lose but I swear I use it in bed and I don't lose the remote in the covers ALL THE TIME like I usually do. I can let go of the remote and still use my hands for other things in bed.... (LIKE EATING LIKE A PIG LIKE THE FATSO I AM) -Fits perfectly, perfect cutouts for mic and charging port CONS... :( -The "glow in the dark" version.. doesn't really glow. Even after being under a light for a bit, it glows very very dimly and you can only see it when its pitch black and maybe someone points it out. It's kind of dumb they advertise it as this.. its a perfectly good product otherwise and finding out it doesn't glow much after all just kind of makes the manufacturer look deceiving. Hence removal of one star. Anyway, happy with my purchase. Bought two for our two AppleTVs

I got a couple of elago R1 remote cases and was initially disappointed. I was expecting the case to fit a little tighter and I thought it was just poor manufacturing. So back they went. However, I realized that a lot of edge clicks on the remote (15-sec rewind, etc.) were problematic with a different brand that fit a bit tighter and covered more of the touch pad area. So what may seem like an issue with elago, is actually by design and it works much better. It is also the easiest one to hold, and the magnets which seemed gimmicky at first, have proven useful. So pretty happy with this case overall and definitely the best one I have found for the Siri remote. A note about the Nightglow Blue color. A lot of people say it doesn't glow, but they seem to be missing the point. It is not meant to light up the room, give you a tan, or be visible in a satellite photo. It's only supposed to make this a bit easier to find in the dark. At least for the unit I got, it clearly does that. If the room is very dark, you can clearly see the remote with this case on it. Again, it is faint, but clearly visible and that's all it's supposed to do.

I know the AppleTV remote is small, but unlike a lot of people, I never really have had an issue in using it. My only issue is that the flat design of it makes it a bit hard to pick up off a hard surface. This little case solves this one drawback, and adds to it. Just by raising it up, the remote is much easier to grip. I have vertical metal supports on my computer desk, and the magnets hold it upright, making it even easier to grip and use. As others say, the magnets are a little weak, but it holds in place - and on a round pole, no less, where there's little contact surface. The glow image is a little misleading - it does glow blue, but it's very faint. Even exposing it to a black light, the glow fades quickly. But honestly? In a dark room watching a movie, a bright glow would be distracting. I can live with it, so just know the glow is subtle. All in all, this case made for a big improvement in usability. I was skeptical, but I always appreciate making the little things that much easier. Definitely recommended.
