Nice ergonomic pro for my Apple TV remote. The the only thing I would change is the size of the charging port because it’s a little to small. Also, the strap is a little much. I think the best part about the case is that I now always know that it’s facing the right direction.

Quick write up: This case does glow in the dark. If you leave if near a well lit window it will glow brighter. But the best part of this remote case is the snug fit. So like, this thing is a lifesaver. I guess I should break it down to like Pros and Cons instead of a big paragraph eh? PROS! :) -Silicone-type material feels great! Definitely will protect against drops that may crack the remote -The contour shape on the back might be the best thing about this. Satisfying to hold and makes the remote feel more substantial and easy to hold -Magnet addition is a nice bonus, and its nicely hidden even with this frosted transparent one I have. I do really like this transparent frosted white glowy one because the apple logo is just subtly visible. -Looks official. I know theres a lot of brands that make this but this one really looks the most legit and not cheap -You can easily click the sides of the touch pad to skip forward or back, your finger just slightly pushes the side of the case out of the way and you dont even really notice. I was skeptical at first when I saw this listing but its a non-issue. -I DIDN'T KNOW IT CAME WITH A WRIST STRAP and its so amazing! Not only does it add something to it to make it harder to lose but I swear I use it in bed and I don't lose the remote in the covers ALL THE TIME like I usually do. I can let go of the remote and still use my hands for other things in bed.... (LIKE EATING LIKE A PIG LIKE THE FATSO I AM) -Fits perfectly, perfect cutouts for mic and charging port CONS... :( -The "glow in the dark" version.. doesn't really glow. Even after being under a light for a bit, it glows very very dimly and you can only see it when its pitch black and maybe someone points it out. It's kind of dumb they advertise it as this.. its a perfectly good product otherwise and finding out it doesn't glow much after all just kind of makes the manufacturer look deceiving. I got a couple of elago R1 remote cases and was initially disappointed. I was expecting the case to fit a little tighter and I thought it was just poor manufacturing. So back they went. However, I realized that a lot of edge clicks on the remote (15-sec rewind, etc.) were problematic with a different brand that fit a bit tighter and covered more of the touch pad area. So what may seem like an issue with elago, is actually by design and it works much better. It is also the easiest one to hold, and the magnets which seemed gimmicky at first, have proven useful. So pretty happy with this case overall and definitely the best one I have found for the Siri remote. A note about the Nightglow Blue color. A lot of people say it doesn't glow, but they seem to be missing the point. It is not meant to light up the room, give you a tan, or be visible in a satellite photo. It's only supposed to make this a bit easier to find in the dark. At least for the unit I got, it clearly does that. If the room is very dark, you can clearly see the remote with this case on it. Again, it is faint, but clearly visible and that's all it's supposed to do. ... show more

advertised as a glow in the dark remote case. doesn’t glow at all. fits the remote perfectly and prevents it slipping between the couch cushions. im just disappointed about the glowing (or lack there of), as i bought this one specifically for that feature

    • It corrects a few major issues with the AppleTV remote.

All Apple products are too slippery in the hand. This case (it’s just like an iPhone case, so it is a case) allows you to grip the tiny AppleTV remote and orient it without looking at it. If that was all it did, it would be enough. In a room full of black remotes, my AppleTV remote now stands out. Some of you might also like the included lanyard, which would actually come in handy if you use the remote to control some sort of action game on your AppleTV like a workout or bowling game. I did that a few times, but prefer my iPad for Apple games. About the Glow in the Dark version I bought: my TV room doesn’t get enough light from any source to charge up the chemicals in the Elago, so I can’t recommend that ability. I thought it might be more important than it turn out to be. a bright colored version would probable be sufficient. ... show more

I had broken my other remote accidentally - it easily got lost or shuffled around with how thin it is. While buying an overly expensive remote for Apple TV (haha) I thought why not get something protective. Pros This does great to give the remote some thickness so it’s easier to find and use. Water had spilt and this actually save it from getting water on/underneath it. It does not impede with buttons or functionality of the remote at all. The remote slides in and out super efficiently so you’re not putting stress on it. Cons The magnets aren’t that strong on the back - they work though. The glow in the dark part isn’t that much of a contrast and doesn’t really glow that bright. Overall I would recommend!! ... show more

We've got several AppleTVs of different generations, and the remotes were always getting lost. They would drop between the couch cushions, slide off the end table etc. These remote covers give the remotes some grip so they don't slide off the furniture as easily, the shape of the covers make them fit the hand better, and the colors make them easy to spot should they get lost in blankets, under the couch etc. A black remote sitting on dark blue upholstery can be hard to spot. My only reason for a 4 vs 5 star review is that the upper portion can make using the side areas of the touch portion of the remote a bit more awkward. It's still far better than using the remote as it arrived from Apple. Highly recommend. ... show more
