    • Poor quality control
About half of the shutter loks received were an incorrect color, packaged in bags labeled as the color ordered. When I reached out to Ekena and Amazon, neither accepted responsibility for the mislabeled product. I wouldn’t expect the product picker in Amazon’s fulfillment center had the time or attention to check whether the packaging matched the contents, ultimately the mismatch originated with Ekena. Having purchased shutters manufactured by Ekena (to the tune of nearly $5K), which had their own quality issues, this isn’t a great surprise. Clearly Ekena doesn’t put much effort into quality control. The loks themselves are fine, dismissing the color/packaging issues. In all Ekena’s poor quality control prolonged the project and caused additional efforts that added significant costs. ... show more
