I’ve been using Chanel men’s perfumes for 20+ years (spurred on by my Italian wife’s appreciation of Chanel perfumes)—mostly Egoïste Platinum & Bleu de Chanel. Terrific value for the $; though a bit pricey. Amazon’s price is less than buying direct from Chanel. My co-workers have often shared that they appreciate the scent, while we were STUCK in faculty meetings. And, many times people at the grocery store have asked me what perfume I’m wearing (mostly women, but some men). Good quality stuff, that’s not overwhelming. This is the stuff you've been waiting for. It's got class, style, projection, longevity, premium ingredients and the historic name to back all this up. I, for one, couldn't care less for trendy brand named cologne. Often, it's the same smelling as juice 1/10 the price. But in the case of Chanel, I have to give in. They truly know how to make a gorgeous male cologne! Now you're gonna pay for it, but it's worth it. Platinum Egoiste starts off with a hearty amount of citrus, which melts into flowers and musky greens, all the time remaining very masculine and not too overpowering. It lasts and lasts, and I find myself sniffing my wrist throughout the day, no matter how many times I wear it. The only reason I didn't say I "love it" in my review is that at times it's a bit linear with the citrus scent; many other colognes have a similar punctuating lemony ingredient like this, which makes it a bit unoriginal. BUT, it still smells great and I'd recommend it to anyone. You really can't go wrong!! ... show more
