Does not fit my sedan windshield well. However, I have to rig it up to fit as best as possible. It does help block some of the heat from the sun. So I have a fitted sun shield that's exact fit to my car make and model, but it's long and awkward to keep anywhere besides the trunk, which is tedious and adds extra steps to deploy it. Enter the umbrella sunshade to solve all my woes, right? Well, mostly. My fitted shade has a cutout for my rearview mirror and sensor pod, whereas this umbrella does not, so deploying it results in a bulge right where my mirror sticks out and there's no way to maneuver the umbrella around it. This leaves me with either just accepting the slightly awkward fitment, or going back to walking back to my trunk for my fitted sunshade. If the thought of this doesn't at all bother you, or you have a very tall windshield (I own a VW Golf by the way), or no sensor pod/rearview mirror, this may not be an issue for you. Otherwise, though, it fits perfectly assuming you have it rightside up (it's wider on one side and narrower on the other) and much, much easier to stow than my fitted sunshade, since I can fold it up and toss it under my seat. ... show more

This is a great idea, it works with a little bit of effort, and it does store nicely. The hardest part for me is getting it in and out around the mirror; it just seems like a little bit more effort than I would like, but I'm still happy with it.

This is a telescopic windshield shade to keep the sun out of the vehicle, at least the sunlight coming from the windshield. To use you push the plastic ring part up and the shade springs into place. It's very quick and easy to deploy, much like an umbrella. The shade is silver on the sun side and black on the other. The silver color does a good job of reflecting the heat which helps to keep the vehicle cool. To pack away you pull the ring down and the shade folds up, again like an unbrella. You can then secure it with the velcro straps. It packs to a small size which is easily stored. Quality seems OK. ... show more

I like the fact that it is easy to deploy and get into position from just one angle and not have to try and over reach to put into place. It fits good for being universal. It does have a slight smell that may wear off after use.
