Here's my honest review! The EF ECOFLOW DELTA 3 Plus with 400W Solar Panel is hands down one of the most impressive solar generators I’ve used. Whether you're prepping for emergencies or need portable power for camping or RV life, this system delivers. The 1000W solar input is a game-changer — paired with the included 400W panel, it charges surprisingly fast even in partial sunlight. I love that it uses an LFP (LiFePO4) battery, which means long-term durability, more charge cycles, and greater safety compared to traditional lithium-ion. The build quality is outstanding — solid, compact for the power it holds, and easy to move around with the built-in handles. The output options are versatile, with plenty of AC outlets, USB ports, and a car socket, making it easy to power everything from a CPAP machine to a fridge or laptop. I've been working with solar and (solar) power stations for many years. From my homebrew whole house, to a number of portable models from different manufacturers. I've been a Bluetti guy for quite a bit of that time. They have been, and remain very good. This is my first Ecoflow. I LOVE this thing right out of the box. The features and app integration are outstanding. From the ability to control charge rates, to being able to control how much you top off and how low you deplete the battery(ies). I'm blown away. This has features not found on the bigger, super high end units out there. I've already ordered the extra 1 kwh battery and will probably pair it all up with the Smart Gen 3. Pros: Storm Guard (Warns you within 12 hrs of when bad weather might effect grid power so you can top up) Charge Rate Control Total charge control Depletion control Relatively light weigh Water and dust resistant (camping, outdoor use) Very good inverter efficiency, AC and DC (power being drawn) Outlet placement FAST charging, from grid and from solar QUIET. I mean amazingly QUIET. Ability to schedule tasks such and charging Ability to setup grid charging when electric rates are lowest. (The app interfaces with your power company for the info automatically) Makes my bed first thing in the morning without me asking. (Ok, maybe not that.) Cons: Only one, and hope it might be addressed in a firmware update. AC Idle/Phantom load is pretty ugly for this size unit. The DC is excellent, its only the AC side. But with the large inverter capacity for AC, it comes with the territory. My AC200MAX is not as efficient and the phantom load is about the same. I would whole heartedly recommend the Delta Pro 3. It will be going camping with me in the cold of January this year for sure. Oh, and shipping was super fast.

I wish I had not waited so long. I originally purchased this unit for off-grid amateur radio operations. It works very well for that purpose. But recent storm related outages allowed this unit to really demonstrate its capabilities. The unit paid for itself when it kept my fridge and freezer running during a recent outage. This unit is reasonably light, very portable, can handle a variety of tasks (charging cell phones, computers, running coffee makers, fridges, and freezers, and even driving my tankless water heater. The first day I recharged it using my gasoline generator. It recharged quickly. The next day I was able to deploy the solar panels (the panels can recharge the system in a couple of hours in very good conditions). At one point, the panels were actually recharging the unit while powering a fridge. Impressive. I love that charge-through capability. I wish the cables for the solar panel connections were longer. And I wish an anchoring system for the solar panels was provided (the light panels are great, but are very unstable in windy conditions). While I still have and use gasoline generators, this is my go-to generator for all kinds of projects. I'm pleased I purchased it and am planning to buy another one this year.

This thing is awesome, we use it to run a deep freezer and lights in our enclosed trailer for shows. Battery stays at 95 percent during the day with the 400watt panel. It is dead in the morning but is recharged in an hour and 20 minutes on a generator with the freezer still connected and running. Bought a small pack to keep at our booth and it runs all our lights.
