This is a nice sturdy, good looking and feeling boot. Deep black, soft feel. It was super comfortable. The calves are wider than I like, so I returned them. I've noticed in reviews that women are looking for wide calf boots. I think you'd love these.

The height of the boots is perfect. I’m 5’2” and 118 lbs and was worried the boots would be too high and hit my knees but they don’t. The only thing is there is a bit of a gap at the top and seems to be made for someone with bigger calves, but they still look great. I wore them all day at work and they were comfortable the entire time.

Updated review for black pair in 2024- 3 stars The calf is way too wide. I don’t know if that size changed or black is made differently from brown. I tried the 11 and 10. These boots have such a large calf size you can put your hand down them easily lol. It’s a no for me. Not sure what happened to quality or sizing but you need really big calves for this otherwise it looks kinda ridiculous. You’d need to size up if you want to wear socks because there is zero wiggle room. But then you need to size at least 2 sizes down for the correct calf size. So returning. Original review for brown pair about a year ago - 4.5 stars Recommend! Very pretty boot! Pleasantly surprised since I was taking a chance based on some reviews. Will look great with multiple outfits in different seasons. I have average legs, definitely not skinny, but not wide-calf. These fit great so there is no big gap around calf, but doesn't feel tight. These appear to be comfortable and walk-able boots even with heel. I ran around house and didn't have to change my walking style (ladies know!) just because I was in heels. If you want to wear thick socks with these, you definitely need to size up. I'm a size 10, ordered a 10, and it fits perfect, but no wiggle room. It is not tight, it is comfortable, but thick shocks or insoles would be a 'no way'. Will wear with stockings, or thinner socks. I'd orderd the 11 just because I like thicker socks, but they don't have available. For the price and look, I'll probably still get the 11 when available, and just keep both pairs.

I absolutely love these boots. I was worried they would be stiff or uncomfortable but they are the opposite! Their is cushioning under your feet and the back has a bit of stretch if you have a little meatier calves. They are very flexible and move with you. I didn't like that they came folded over in a small box, however. I did have to work out the folds and place things inside the boots to reshape them. Once they were reshaped, they were perfect! I've been wearing them a lot to work!

I agonized if these boots would fit right and would be comfortable. I wore them yesterday to Church with a skirt. The looked great, they fit just right, and they were very comfortable, even standing in one place while singing with the choir for a substantial time. I could have worn them all day. They are true to size.

The boots were cute and fit great. BUT, they were folded and crunched in the package and the thick wrinkle right across the middle of the calf would not come out. I guess they are trying to save on packaging, but they ruin the boots the way they are packaged. They need to be kept straight and shipped in a box made for boots.
