The pen writes pretty well in different colors. However most of them did not survive living in a backpack for longer than a month. Also, you run out of ink much quicker than you do with regular pens. The way you switch pen colors is a little confusing and it often jams, but maybe I am not using it properly. I purchased these mostly for writing flash cards and for my kid to use for their notes. I haven’t heard any complaints from them about them, however they didn’t ask me to purchase more to replace them nor have I seen them using them as of late. I do recommend them as a cute gift/reward for kids of either gender if you are a teacher or a cool and inexpensive party favor for birthdays. ... show more
