I bought this due to an ongoing hip problem which makes sitting very painful. I put it together in under 15 minutes and other than be below described damage and wacky wrench it seems pretty sturdy. DO NOT LEAN On OR REST HEAVY OBJECTS on this table. It is advertised as a 30 lb weight limit. And I would recommend the center top as most weight bearing. 2 corners and an end are “chipped”, and the included wrench 🔧 is a joke, used my own and put blobs of glue on the chips. It was well packed so someone wasn’t on their game on packing day. Wheels are ok for back and forth, not so much round and round. Excellent desk, memory setting is great, easy to adjust height, usb is nice to have. My lower back and between my shoulder blades start to become painful when sitting too long, especially lower back in lumbar close to my hips even though I have a good desk chair so being able to stand dramatically decreases my lumbar back pain. Overall I'm very happy with the desk and feel it's an excellent buy especially because it reduced my pain and discomfort. ... show more

This is a great desk. While I was expecting this desk to have a storage bag on the side for papers as well as a desk hook on the opposite side for headphones. It does not have that. Its not missing. There are no predrilled holes for it like all the other parts that needed to be assembled. You can also assemble it to have the buttons on a specific side if you would like. You would just need to pay attention to what side/ direction you put the motor on while setting up. Other than that, the programmable heights for sitting down or standing up function perfectly. It is also easy to program. For setting up this desk you are definitely going to need 2 people. It is very heavy, sturdy as well. On this desk I have placed 2 monitors, a laptop, a keyboard, mouse, and tons of other knickknacks. And I still have other space to spare. While using the automatic function to stand up or to sit down it, does make a bit of noise, but it is reasonably loud due to what this item is. It not loud enough to wake someone from they sleep. Again the desk is very sturdy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a desk where they can transition from standing to sitting while working for long periods of time. I am only taking off one star since I was looking forward to being able to keep my Beats under my desk. ... show more

The Smug ̈desk Electric Sit/Stand Desk is a fantastic, quality-built, sturdy and great looking desk. I have been wanting a sit/stand desk for quite a while, especially after I started working from home a couple of years ago. My wife, who also works from home, got one that was provided by her company, and she had been on me about getting one as well. I could have had one provided by company as well, but I am much more particular than my wife is, so I started keeping my eye out for one that would check all of my boxes. I can definitely say that this desk does exactly that! As a few others have mentioned, I was a little disappointed that mine did not come with the storage bag or headphone hook but seeing as how I already have several hooks and don’t actually use any paperwork, it is not that big of a deal. The box it comes in is quite large and decently heavy so you may want to have help moving it and/or assembling it. Putting it together was easy but did take a couple of hours though I did put it together by myself. With an extra set of hands, it should go together quicker. I liked that they used plastic corner protectors, and the only blemish was a small (<1cm) mark in the middle of one of the desktop pieces and when you ship something this large and heavy it can be expected, and it is under my very large desk pad anyways. Other than that, everything looks great! The desk is made with heavy-duty, high-quality materials. One of my concerns, was regarding the fact that the desktop is actually in (2) pieces and is secured in the middle with (4) thick brackets. I have to say though, once it is assembled, it is very sturdy, with no play whatsoever. The afore mentioned desktop pad covers most of the seam so I don’t even notice it most of the time. The controls are easy to use and the display that shows the height, is nice looking, sharp and clear. Two of the buttons will put the desk at the tallest height or the lowest, you can adjust it up or down using the arrow buttons and the final one you use to program a set height. It moves fairly quickly from the sit to stand height and vice versa but not too quick where you have to worry about knocking stuff over on your desk. It moves very smoothly as well. One of the things that I really like about it, is that it is deeper than my old desks which is great because I have 3 monitors and a laptop along with studio monitors and there is plenty of room! If you spend a lot of time at your desk, whether for work or fun, I highly recommend that you look into a sit/stand desk as they really are good for your health and if you decide to get one, I absolutely recommend the Smug ̈desk Electric Sit/Stand Desk! ... show more

This desk is very sturdy, durable, easy to operate, and is large enough to serve multiple purposes for my needs. I plan to use it for my laptop during my work needs as well as my craft needs since it can adjust. It will work quite well with my adjustable drafting chair. There is a drawback: the lack of labeled parts!! This caused some serious delays with the assembly. I had to figure out which screw was shown and which part was shown in the illustration. Also, I assembled the side plates backwards due to the poor instructions. Thankfully, I own a drill...because the amount of screws to secure the desktop to crossbar and connector plates is excessive to screw by hand.
