I bought this to replace an old, flimsy 13" toolbox that finally gave out from being forced closed too often. This is a really nice size for all of your household basics - screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, hammer, nails, etc. The plastic is sturdier than I expected for the price. The clasps to lock the lid are solid and secure, so I don't have to worry about it popping open. I especially like the top lid compartments for holding all of those miscellaneous extra screws and nails you get when putting things together.     • Finally a toolbox that’s big enough!
It’s not the cheapest toolbox, but… Is the third one that I’ve tried, and the other two are too small. This seems like the perfect size; I think this will fit everything that I have. It seems sturdy, and easy to use. I like the different compartments that it has. I was hoping this would replace a similar 20-year old plastic tool box, which finally broke. I thought this one was pretty close to what I needed, so I thought I'd try it. It appeared to be a bit flimsy, and that proved to be true. As I started to put my tools in, I noticed that it was already cracked. So I returned it. I live in a small apartment so my DIY projects are very simple. However, I needed someplace to keep my tools and other things that I use for these.     • Cheap and clumsy
The box is serving its purpose-- I had another box that is the exact same size, but built a little better to hold our 1st aid kit items. My 3 year old loved to get into it, but it was a complete kit (asprin, scissors, etc.). I purchased this to make her own with just bandages, water sprays, and other little goodies for a kid safe 1st aid kit. Unfortunately, the plastic on top is a real pain in the neck even for me to open, and the latches for the actual box have to be carefully manipulated to get it to close properly. Compared to the one I have from a decade ago with separate snapping clear plastic lid covers, and a single metal latch, this one is a lot less user friendly.
