  • Nephew was literally shaking from excitement
Style: Rocket
Really easy to put together. I do think this is more of a parent helps kind of toy at least to start. My nephew is 3 and I got this for his birthday. We put it together and he was literally shaking from excitement and kept giggling and hooting noises of joy whole time. The drill given isn’t very strong but it’s to be expected. Just have to really make sure the screws are lined up well. He loved using his own drill. He sleeps with his rocket now I am told and it’s his new favorite toy since he put it together himself. We regularly take it apart to “fix” it when I’m watching him and he’s not tired of it. 10/10 ... show more

  • Perfect for my little mourning the loss of his McDonald's rocket
Style: Rocket
My 3 year old son got a tiny toy story rocket in his happy meal. He was instantly in love. It was the highlight of the 45 minute drive home, but the fun didn't end there. Suddenly, the small John Deere tractor he use to fly around the house was replaced with the even smaller McDonald's toy. He took it in the bath and slept with it. Two days later, we went to a birthday party and he insisted on giving this rocket away as a present, so in it went into the gift bag with the few books I'd picked out. I dropped it off, it went great until we got home and he realized.. no more rocket. He was unconsolable. Just heartbroken. The next day he was still pretty bummed, so we got on Amazon and he picked out this life saving plastic masterpiece. He asked about it every day multiple times a day while we waited the 4 days for shipping. This work of art hasn't spent a moment alone since it "flew here from the stars". I've never heard him count down from 10 so manu times in a row. His only complaint is that the puppy doesnt have a helmet, so he might get hurt if they crash. I don't have a good answer for him, but this toy puts the McDonald's pos to shame! TLDR just get the rocket ... show more

  • 2 yr old loved it
Style: Rocket
After my 2 year old sparked curiosity in a space ship I quickly found this. We have a blast building it, getting it set for take off. The characters it comes with are super fun also. The toy drill is the only thing that takes batteries.

  • Poorly designed, door doesn't fit, pieces fall apart
Style: Rocket
Dropping the rating to one star. After a couple months of minimal play, the door now doesn't close at all. Even when I gently try to close it while guiding the top edge under the door opening in the rocket, it pops off the hinge. No way my 4yo can do it. Also, the little creatures don't stay parked on their little stands inside, so they fall out once the open rocket once he tips it. We were so excited for this toy as he loves outer space plus putting things together, but it's horrible quality. Not worth the purchase cost or dealing with his frustration with it constantly breaking. Do NOT purchase! ********************************************************** We had such high hopes when we opened the box this morning. His cousin has the car and loved it. I don't know if we have a deficient one or if they are all so poorly designed. Giving one extra point for the fun idea of a rocket and the box interior being able to be turned into the launch pad. The pieces are frustratingly poorly integrated. The door to the rocket doesn't close unless you press down on the top left hinged side, not something little fingers can easily do. Somehow the door pops off easily for no reason although it is not easy to put back in place, so he is constantly asking for help. The door popped off twice before we finished gently "drilling" the rocket together the first time. The little astronaut and dog barely fit on their stands in the rocket, and fall over as a result. When you tip the rocket over, as is done frequently as he "flies" it through space, they rattle around inside. He is holding onto the rocket in both hands as he flies it. It's not like he is tossing it around. There is no apparent reason why you put the screw inside the astronaut. You'd think it would somehow help the interchangeable helmet or hair pop on, like with playmobil heads. Nope. The interchangeable hair or helmet just rest on top of the head. They don't snap or drill on. Bc they just rest there, if you tip them or the rocket on the side, again as is frequently done as he flies the rocket sideways (what rocket flies only vertically?), the hair or helmet fall right off. With the door constantly coming off, if he flies the rocket without the door, the hair or helmet fall out onto the floor and often the astronaut or dog too. In terms of presentation, one of the two faces is a winky face. That coupled with the bow in the hair make for an overly cutesy female representation. At least the astronaut is female? The astronaut is advertised as having different faces. All that means is that the head part has two faces painted on it, one facing front and one back, that you can rotate. With the helmet or hair basically not staying on unless the astronaut is sitting still, the result is a 2 faced astronaut. Bc my son hates the winky face, that is the face facing back over the firey jet pack - slightly creepy effect. I had been planning on getting another of these drilling sets for our house. After this experience where multiple parts fall off easily and/or don't fit together, I definitely will not get another for my son or as a gift. I wonder if the toy was ever tested in actual use. Kids use them. I do not recommend. ... show more

  • Great toy but missing a part
Style: Rocket
There are supposed to be four wings on the base of the rocket ship but the fourth one can not be attached because the hole is not threaded for a screw.
