This base is very difficult to work with and I don’t intend buying again not worth it. It solidifies so quickly I had to keep melting over and over, getting stuck to my pot NAH I wouldn’t recommend the white base it’s really terrible to work with. I should had checked the reviews before buying.

This 4lb clear glycerin soap base came sealed in plastic wrap as two pre-cut 2-lb packs. Melted and poured ok but with a little foaming and bubbles. I didn't notice any yellowing, so just make sure not to heat too long and you should be fine. The soap base did take colorant and essential oil fragrance well. This is a review of EDSRDRUS 4LB White Glycerin Soap Base DIY Handmade Soap with Vegetable Glycerin & Coconut Oil, Moisturizing Melt and Pour Soap Base 2pack, 64oz (4LB) I tried this soap base because it is white. The honey-colored soap base I used before created nice soap but did not lend itself to some of the colors of soap I want to make. This soap base is excellent for taking color. Pink! Turquoise! Lavender! Yes yes yes. The base is easy to use. It melts easily. As with any soap base, I did have to watch it carefully and stir frequenty so that it didn’t get too hot and start to foam. After molding, my soaps showed clear detail. And my hands feel nice after I use the soap, too. I am still pretty new to soap making, but this is so easy and turns out so well that it makes me eager to try additives. ... show more

I ordered this in clear. It arrives in two individually wrapped bricks. Each brick has 40 cubes, but the cubes are only marked by a depression in the surface; you are still going to need a knife to cut them apart. It seems to melt fine, I haven't had any issues with it. I melt it in the microwave, very slowly, and for as little time as possible and still have it completely melt. For example, I will put it in for about 45 seconds, stir it, put it in another 30, stir it, etc. Melt times depend on how much I am melting at a time (and will vary with the power of your microwave). Overall I think it's a good base, to which you would add your own color, scent, textures, etc. I would order it again. ... show more
