The Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold features a low-rise, dual plane design with patented runner tuning and a 180 degree firing order. This combination boosts torque over a wide RPM range from idle to 5, 500 RPM. They deliver improved throttle response over stock intake and come in non-EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) style.

    • Perfect for newer heads on older vehicles.
Great adapter manifold. Worked perfectly to put newer heads with the canted center bolts in my 1972 Suburban. Has good throttle response and economy. Seems to be very similar to a factory manifold. I'm very happy with it. It comes with the 8901 Choke Block-Off plate, so no need to buy one separately like I did! Note, this will NOT work with Vortec heads. Not happy at all. Center 2 bolts on both sides were not able to alone with bolt holes. I was able to use a file to get the bolts in but bolts tightened at an angle. In the old Edelbrock manifold I took off all the bolt holes the thickness was the same. 1/2 to 5/8’s thick. The new one the center bolt the manifold is 1” thick. Only reason for changing it was a thermostat housing that dripped water because the aluminum is soft and the coolant is corrosive. They could use better harder aluminum. That would cost a few dollars more to make. $350 for $4.00 in aluminum and 1 hour machine. I have not started the motor. Says maid in America but it was cast some country cheap and machined I America. TO ME EDELBROCK jUMPED THE SHARK. What was good is now junk. ... show more

this product was a must-have on my application due to the coolant passage in the rear of this intake. most intakes made these days don't that galley in the rear, and the engine builder would have to run more coolant lines. this makes it, by-far, more cost effective. the only problem i had during installation was bolting the center bolts to the heads. my application is for a 70's SBC, which has angled bolts. a little dye-grinding, and offset washers fixed that problem pretty fast. recommended ... show more
