Look great. Ordered a whole size bigger than I normally wear, and they fit perfectly WITHOUT thick socks. However these boots are not warm on the soul of your feet. I’ve been using heat warmers on my socks for warmth.

    • Warm, good looking Pacs
Size: 7.5 Color: Snow
I bought these cute light grey pacs to replace my 40 y/o (yes, 40!) Rockies. The insulation was totally shot in the Rockies and I was WAY overdue for a good snow boot. The Eddie Bauer boot fit very well, plenty of warm insulation around the foot and shaft, but nothing under the foot, so you do get some cold transference if you’re standing around. I replaced the insole liner with my orthotics, which solved the cold problem. Tried them out in the little snow we got, great traction in the light snow, will have to wait for a real snow storm for a good trial. I did find that there’s not a lot of ankle support, even with snugging the shaft in the ankle ( snug it too much and you’ll be feeling the metal D ring for lacing, not pleasant!) I guess I’m spoiled by my supportive hiking boots, these Pacs just aren’t designed for that! You do get lots of room to adjust for a muscular calf. Overall, a good looking, comfortable, warm boot. Will have to update review once I get to test them out in really snowy weather/ snowshoeing! ... show more

Super comfortable, fashionable, well-made boots good for everyday use Kept my feet warm and dry for many hours. The insulation in these boots protected my foot as I slipped while moving a refridgerator and the refridgerator fell on top of my foot.

Dropping the review to one star because I'm extremely displeased that my refund was given in the form of an Eddie Bauer gift card that was only $54.50 when I paid 127 for these boots PLUS had to pay return shipping myself. I do not want a brand specific gift card, I want my money back so I can buy shoes that actually fit properly and forcing me to instead spend that money at a brand store is insane and shady, and refunding less than half my purchase price with an approved refund is downright unethical. I have never had to purchase wide fit shoes so I was surprised at how narrow these boots were. The fit length wise was correct, construction seemed solid, but the boot was unbearably narrow even with just plain white crew socks. There is zero chance I could have worn thick or thermal socks. In fact I'm not sure I'd even be able to get my foot in the boot in thermal socks due to the width of the boot. I tried putting the boots on and wearing them for a while as I sat on the couch and watched TV and I couldn't even make it 30 minutes with them on while sitting. I returned these and will have to continue the search for water resistant cold weather boots. ... show more
