For less than $40 these hiking shoes were fantastic. I bought these for an upcoming hiking trip, we don’t hike much so I did not want to spend hundreds on a pair of shoes I’m only going to wear a few times. The only thing is these are NOT waterproof. Do what I did and grab a shoe waterproofing spray for less than $10, problem solved. These fit slightly large but it actually worked out because normally thicker socks are worn hiking. I bought these for a trip to Montana/ Yellowstone this summer where we did a lot of hiking. My mom had bought a similar pair at double the price and had to stop wearing them halfway through the trip because of the blisters she was getting. I had zero discomfort and plenty of cushion with these. Would highly recommend these for people who are just starting to hike or taking a hiking trip. I did not even need to break them in! They’re actually pretty cute as far as hiking boots go. Can’t speak to how they hold up over time because I’ve only had them since August but after 7 days in Yellowstone and dozens of miles hiked, they are still comfy and looking good! First, I never write reviews, but I bought these for a last minute camping weekend and they exceeded my expectations. They are water resistant and with my wool socks, kept my feet comfortable and dry for a several mile walk on a rainy day. I put them on again this morning and the wetness had not soaked through and I was very comfortable wearing them again on a drizzly day. My feet weren’t hot, they aren’t overly heavy (I tried the eddie bauer waterproof ankle boot and they felt very heavy) and the price was great!! Very happy with them. ... show more

This was my first pair of hiking boots so I didn't want to splurge yet, and I've been pretty happy with them. I haven't taken them out while it was super wet and rainy so I can't speak to the leaking issues others have had, but they performed very well in mud and mildly wet conditions. I had to return my original pair and get a replacement because there was a hole in it, but since then have had no issues. They're very comfortable and pretty stylish (at least for hiking shoes.) ... show more
