  • Excellent quality for the price! I can see lots of satisfying hours over the years playing with it.
Color: Grey
Just received this a few hours ago. Here's the good and the bad so far: PROS - It just looks freaking cool! The 6 large and 6 small moveable "armor" panels are sweet and the "03" text, notches and triangle designs, etc are nice and crisp. - Love the gray color; any shinier and IMO it would look cheap, any darker and you would visually lose some cool design details. - Love the weight; weighed it 3 times on my kitchen food scale: 148 grams, that's 5.22 oz (feels like 7-8 oz to me but I trust the scale). You feel like you got your money's worth; a toy that should last a long time...."plastic" it is not! - Spins a long time; longest so far is 2 mins 30 secs and 2 minute spins are easily achieved repeatedly if you hold it with one hand and spin it with the other. NOTE: It spins significantly longer if you let it spin holding it on its side, ie, keep the center AXLE AXIS pointed vertical/straight up and down and NOT horizontal/parallel to the floor. No idea why that matters but it seems to. - When spinning fast enough the 12 armor panels automatically flip outward and significantly increases the size of the toy; again, giving the feeling of a nice bang for your buck. - When spinning it is almost entirely silent. I estimate the slight bearing noise goes down to zero after 15-20 seconds of it spinning. - When spinning, it's a nice tactile feeling on your finger if you gently touch the toy's armor panels and slow it down or stop it completely. - If you hold it in your hand as you spin it, as the spinner slows down the 12 armor panels usually retract automatically due to the lower centrifugal force and the force of the small magnets in the 12 panels. If they don't automatically retract when the spinning stops, if you touch one of the 12 armor panels they all quickly retract with a nice sound to it like small, metal dominos in a row quickly falling down. Who doesn't like the sound of dominos falling down? - Well packaged; it comes in a small, soft foam envelope which is placed inside a slightly larger zip-close plastic pouch and the whole thing was then mailed in an Amazon bubble mailing pouch. CONS - It's a little smaller than I was hoping; I measured it carefully and it's 1 15/16" across (diameter) with the 12 armor panels in the fully closed position. IMO it would be even cooler if it were about 2 1/4" - 2 1/2" in diameter in the closed position. In the fully open position it measures 2 7/8" across. Measured from the front it is 3/4" wide at the center axle; that's a good thickness/width IMO....gives it a nice, solid feel. - The center axle assembly is incredibly loose; it has ~1/16" of slop/lateral movement in it when it's "not" spinning. This is so large of a movement it must be intended but I have no idea why they settle for that tolerance. Again, however, this thing regularly spins for 2 minutes even with that center axle sloppiness so does this even matter? NOTE: There are 3 separate, spinning/rotating assemblies in this toy; the center axle, a thin/narrow second ring (this is the ring that has the 8 short, separate arcs with a shallow notch in the center of each arc) and the 3rd (outer) assembly with the 12 armor panels. When the toy is spinning the center axle sloppiness almost entirely disappears and instead there is lateral slop/runout between the 2nd and 3rd spinning assemblies (listed above) of ~1/64".....you can barely see it but it's there. Runout matters for unpowered spinning assemblies because it dissipates the energy of the spinning body quicker, ie, the less runout you have the longer the toy will spin. - I haven't yet figured out how to hold it and "flip it" with the same hand and get it to spin fast enough to automatically extend the 12 armor panels like I've seen in a few online videos but it seems to me if you don't have a tight grip on the center axle you may launch it across the room and ruin this thing; it's heavy but probably easily damaged by dropping it. KUDOS: I asked the seller (T-Conceal) why this sells for $39.99 and others exactly like this sell for $179 and I was told, promptly, the difference is quality in terms of tighter part tolerances. They said this version is made using metal parts cast from a mold and the $179 version is made using CNC machining to fabricate the parts and they admitted the $179 version would be a better, more premier experience. True, but you're also going to pay heavily for it. That kind of honesty is incredibly rare online today and I applaud them for it. SUMMARY: If you are struggling to put food on your table, maybe $39.99 is better spent on other things like housing or food but if you have some fun money in your wallet, this toy is pretty danged cool. Highly recommended! PS - No, T-Conceal didn't send me this toy for free or even offer it at a reduced price, but I like detailed reviews so you know "exactly" what you're getting. Cheers! ... show more

  • Quality looks good - is actually very bad
Color: Gray Gold
Pros: - Feels great, very solid *feel* - Can be relatively easily (re)assembled* Cons: - After just 1 day (second day of playing with it) the spinning on one of the two sides in either direction got considerably worse, while the othe remained normal (great). - After just 1 day (second day of playing with it) started coming apart. This is how I discovered it's relatively easy to put it back together... But you have to find the falled parts... And this spins when they come off so... They go places. - The tiny steel(?) screws used to hold the larger dark fins (it's a "pole" thing, held by a tiny screw on either end) , if they come off while spinning, you can forget they ever existed, because there is 0 change of finding them. Honestly, if this was a cheap spinner, I would still rate it fairely highly, but, because this is very expensive for a spinner, I have to rate it according to the quality one should expected from a product that cost so much (even not accounting for the considerable shipping cost) , and that expectation is that it lasts for a very long time before it even starts falling apart. At least a year. It's not like I did anything special with it after all, I was just spinning it... And already have to live with an entire fin missing because I lost two of those tiny screws and can't find them. If you get this for, say, 10USD, then it's ok, but at 40USD, no way. Can't recommend. ... show more

  • Product oversight
Color: Gray Gold
My apologies for not having pictures but they Almost had it!!!! Almost 5 stars. I love the construction of the 3 section spinner. And the material is definitely made for durability. And the color is awesome..... But..BUT....But.. I had a small issue with the screw and barring seperating. Though a small problem. It caused a big issue with losing parts. I suggested like myself dab a small dot of " i used Gorilla glue" to hold the screw not the barring the SCREW GETS THE GLUE ON THE THREDS TO HOLD IT. But once it's glued there no need to undo it until u need to clean it. Awesome fidget otherwise ... show more

  • Good, but far from perfect
Color: Gray Gold
It's great and I love it. That said, it's got some shortcomings. First day some of the magnets came loose, and as others have said the screws do need to be maintained. I think an updated version with the magnet and screw issues fixed would be perfect. It's got a good weight and is very satisfying to spin and play with. ... show more

  • Disappointing Quality & Overpriced Gimmick, lasted less than one hour
Color: Gray Gold
I had high hopes for this fidget toy, but unfortunately, it fell short in almost every way. After one hour of using it, it felt apart. Build Quality: Despite being advertised as "high-quality mass-produced linkage opening top," the zinc alloy construction feels flimsy and lacks durability. The paint chips easily, leaving an unattractive worn-out look after just a few uses. Functionality: The spinning mechanism is inconsistent—sometimes it works smoothly, but other times it gets stuck or wobbles awkwardly. For a product meant to relieve stress, it ironically creates frustration. Magnetic Feature: The magnetic components feel weak, making the slider mechanism unreliable. It doesn’t provide the satisfying tactile feedback that other fidget toys offer. Price vs. Value: At $39.99, this is way overpriced for what you get. There are far better fidget toys available at a fraction of the cost. ... show more

  • Great toy!
Color: Gray Gold
Fun to play with. Screws come loose over time but are easy to tighten as long as they don't get lost.

  • Awesome metal Armor Fidget spinner
Color: Grey
The media could not be loaded. Well I kept seeing this metal fidget spinner, all over my feed ,and it looks so amazing. There are plenty of reviews complaining about it falling apart ,after a month ,but this being my second day ,all I have to say ,is it is extremely satisfying. Hopefully it does not start to malfunction, but so far it is amazing! ... show more
