My desk arrived two days early, and I had no trouble with assembly. Some revues said it was hard to assemble because of the instructions, I did not have the problem. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Leg room?? Not the best I've seen but that is really dependent on how far under the desk you want to push yourself, Is this as open as the large table I have been using? No, but it is adequate. Overall for the money paid its not a bad value. You can get a much better item, but I would caution that you will pay a much higher price for it. Essentially, you get what you pay for. This desk has a sturdy frame for what it is called on to do, hold your computer and provide a workspace. The desktop could stand to be a bit thicker, but it will do. The biggest negative so far is that the desktop being particle board, the screws holding it to the desk ripped out of the wood, when the frame flexed, the first time I tried to slide the desk across the floor. This also caused the uneven desktop alignement referred to in other reviews. As for the complaints on advertising, yes they were off a bit on the board sizes, the 51.2" advertised desktop width was actually 50" and the 18.5 depth was actually 19.75". I do question some of the engineering of the desk since the wire mesh shelf is far stronger than the particle board shelf they put in place to hold the CPU but the holes allowed it, so I switched the two, the stronger metal wire mesh will hold my CPU and the weaker wood shelf will go on top to hold paperwork. As for the desktop itself . . . thin particle bard is not my first choice, but it will do as long as it holds up under the weight of the monitors and keyboard, and if it ever fails, I can always replace it with some 3/4 inch plywood down the road. Again, all in all, not a bad desk, but if you want something better, they are there, but for a much higher price . . . I am sure. ... show more

The measurements are given in the product description, but it's hard to know really how shallow this desk is. It works, and fits together well, but there's hardly any space between the keyboard and monitor. However, if you have a tight space in a corner, this desk will serve you well.

    • A nice, small L desk

the desk is actually very very sturdy, which makes me happy. i got this over my last desk since i wanted something that i was hoping would not wobble around, and honestly was very happy with how it turned out. however, it is rather small. smaller then i thought it would be at first. this isn't a bad thing, but if you had a large computer set up, or plan to have one, just be prepared to compact it down or get a monitor stand unless you plan on having the monitors on both parts of the desk. being able to have my computer under it was a huge bonus. I'm honestly surprised it fit since i have a decently sized tower. (a full atx). and the spot above it was big enough for me to put some extra electronics like the interface for my microphone as well as a couple game controllers. now for my complaints. it was a pain to make. the actual screwing and unscrewing and holding up the parts wasn't the hard part. the hard part was that each part wasn't clearly labeled, in a way where some just weren't, but more often, the labeling would come fall off, or be on the plastic of the part that you instantly throw away when you are unpacking it and prepping to assemble. more time was spent trying to figure out which part was which then was spent actually assembling it, and I had to redo a few parts since they looked exactly the same. which comes to my next complaint. I really wish it was designed so you could easily move the extended L part from one side to the other. it can only screw in on one side, so when making it you have to plan out ahead which side you want it on. it only needs 2 more holes on the other side for it to easily be able to be added to either side, which I guess is what bugs me since I'm at the point where i want to move my desk but don't want to have to fully disassemble it just for that. however, I know That complaint will not effect 90% of the people looking to get this desk. a pro I didn't mention previously is that the thin metal bars you see on the bottom back of the desk are optional. they don't provide structure support to the desk (it has PLENTY on its own). so if you wanted to remove them for the leg room, you very well can! id say i recommend this to anyone who needs a rather sturdy desk that also wants a place under it for their computer that isnt on the floor! ... show more

I was excited to put this together for my mom since it was a gift for her. But the directions were hard to follow, and in tiny print, felt like I needed glasses after putting this desk together. It was nice after putting it together but there were white marks on the desk, we tried cleaning it and it wouldn’t come off. Purchased this for my office and planned to put together myself, but my husband decided to surprise me upon its arrival and assemble it himself. Pros: Love the color! Sturdy enough I trust it to hold my iMac along with my other two computer screens Shelves are a great addition for additional storage Good length size for two monitors on one side, and a 27” imac on the other with amble space for other items like decorations, hard drives, and office supplies. Cons: Insanely hard to put together. Things didn’t align, had to add holes for one part because they didn’t align. (Glad I didn’t put together myself, I would be leaving a much different review had I done it myself, lol) Since everything didn’t align, I (or my husband rather) was unable to attach the support poles on one side of the desk. This leaves one side a little vulnerable, although I haven’t had any issues with that yet. Gets water spots or rings very easily! I spilled some water on it, and it quickly left a mark. I ended up purchasing a large gaming pad to place on the desk to prevent this from happening again should I spill anything again- which works, but kinda hides the beautiful color of the desk itself. Overall, I’m pleased enough with it to continue using it in my office. ... show more
