I really enjoy having a connected system throughout the house, and this Echo Dot works great with my other smart devices. The sound quality is surprisingly rich for its size, and the routines and voice control make things super convenient. The only reason I knocked off a star is that it occasionally chimes like it's listening, even when no one is talking. It’s a little unsettling, and I can’t help but feel like it’s always paying attention, even if unintentionally. There are definitely signs that make you wonder. That said, as a speaker and smart hub, it works great and has made daily tasks much easier. Just be aware of the occasional unexpected activation.
