My old A/C compressor I attempted to replace the internal valves due to contamination damage after a thorough flush, and got the compressor running however the frontal bearing to the compressor gernaded and I just thought I would buy a new one after flushing the system, I was hesitant seeing the reviews on a couple of these but the quality was acceptable and the bottom two bolt holes had to be tapped, I highly do not recommend using the bolts provided as they are not adequate in length for holding the manifold on, Re-use your old bolts! The compressor came filled to the brim with decent PAG oil of some kind and I left it alone as I believed it to be part of the manufacturing process and very important for functioning of the compressor. I installed the new compressor, pulled a vacuum and Wala, cold vent air at last, even without the noise at half the cost! Still holding onto my old valuable compressor for parts...

It arrived on time and within the estimated time frame, however when it was taken to the mechanic shop for installation, it got too hot, had internal sounds and after several attempts it never worked. A whole day wasted. Very bad, it seems that these products are not inspected before reaching the final consumer.

Worked great and way cheaper than the auto parts stores. Comes with the ac line oil in it, but I drained it out. It doesn't tell you if it has enough in it, and I recharged the system using the professional machine at a garage. The oil was returned to the system through there and at the proper volume. I would have just recharged it with the cans from the store, but I had an opportunity to use the machine instead.

I am so glad to have a/c in my 2004 Vibe. This was much more affordable than the unit the repair shop quoted me. I would be suffering in the heat today without it. I had it professionally installed a few weeks ago. The tech has a Vibe. He and the other members of the shop have Vibes. He was happy with how well it fit without any issues.

Professionally installed. It worked very well and cooled, but when the AC was off, the pulley made a very loud noise. When you accelerated the car, the compressor rumbled. A real waste of time, money, gas, and labor. I'm a mechanic with experience in automotive AC. Everything was installed correctly, but the compressor was defective.
