  • way too tight
Size: 12-12.5 Color: Cocoa Brown Oil Nubuck
I'm a size 12M and have always had a perfect fit in the past with Ecco's in a size 46 (12/12.5). Not so with these GTX Chukkas. It's a struggle getting the foot in and it's tight along the top and the side of the foot. The quality of the shoe itself is top notch. Too bad as I really wanted these to work. ... show more

  • Good shoes but too small
Size: 12-12.5 Color: Cocoa Brown Oil Nubuck
These shoes look great, but unfortunately they are too small. I wear Ecco size 12 and this is the first time the shoes are too narrow and uncomfortable. I tried 3 times, but it hurt too much, too bad

  • Never walk around a puddle again if you don't want to.
I can walk through puddles with these, no problem. We have been through such a long drought that when it started raining recently suddenly there were problems. I saw my foolish co-worker break out a small plastic bag with a dry pair of socks in them, and I realized there's a good idea somewhere in there. I needed a water proof barrier to keep my socks dry, while not having to carry them around like a complete dork and then have to change socks in the middle of the day. Gore-tex will keep my socks dry, and unlike a plastic bag, it will let my feet breathe. Sometimes when I walk through a puddle, I think I feel my feet getting wet but it is all in my head, because if I take these shoes off my feet will be dry. It's very nice, worth the extra buck. Gore-tex is not good when it is hot and dry outside, which it has been here for so long that I forgot how much I needed it when it started raining more seriously lately. I already had these in brown and ordered this pair after the rain became much worse. I ordered them in the usual European size as the other Eccos I have bought, all of which fit very nicely. ... show more

  • Es mas chico de lo normal
Size: 13-13.5 Color: Cocoa Brown Oil Nubuck
Tengo otros Ecco de la misma talla, y este modelo es mas chico, termine usandolo sin la plantilla y quedo mejor. Lo bueno: es ligero, y contra el agua funciona bien. Al final quede contento con la compra.

  • Good quality, uncomfortably snug
Size: 12-12.5 Color: Cocoa Brown Oil Nubuck
The boots look nice and are solid quality but uncomfortably snug, especially on top. I wear a size 12 and have never had to buy wide so I ordered the 12 - 12.5. They are too narrow and hurt the top of my foot. I have worn them several times thinking they would break in but my feet just end up hurting by the end of the day. It's too bad, they really are a nice looking boot. ... show more

  • Perfect for Traveling Europe
I was planning a trip to Europe, and wanted a good travel shoe, something nicer than tennis shoes, that would be comfortable for lots of walking. I'm heavy, 210 pounds, but fit, and have slightly arthritic feet and need orthotics. I've had to be particular about selecting footwear. I've been wearing Ecco work boots for years - I have tried out other footwear, but nothing else has been anywhere near as comfortable. I especially liked that there was no break-in required. My trip was only a week away, and I really needed comfortable footwear, without any needed break-in. I ordered three different models of Ecco dress/casual boots, and I tried them all on in my living room. These were the clear winners. They were the only footwear I took on my trip. We traveled Paris, Amsterdam, and the Normandy beaches, and spent a lot of time walking and on our feet. They worked especially well on Paris' cobbled streets. The Gore-Tex is great: in Amsterdam, we got lost, and ended up walking over an hour through pouring rain - and my feet stayed dry. I highly recommend these boots. ... show more

  • Phenomenal for office wear!!!
I just got these delivered, and just in time, since it snowed here not too long ago! So here's my take on them, after wearing them around in the house and out for some errands: Nothing fancy about these boots, just a great feeling/great looking pair of shoes that will look good at the office with slacks and also works with jeans. Here's the first thing I noticed when I put them on - they feel like I am walking on a cloud... More like a gym shoe than boots! Light and comfortable, they hug my feet nicely but there is plenty of room for my toes. Here's the second thing I noticed - great workmanship, like every other Ecco I own! There's not a flaw on these boots, and no need to 'break them in' as they felt good the moment I put them on and stayed comfortable for hours! Is there a third thing I noticed? Yeah, big smile on my face! Coupled with Goretex, so happy I bought these! Let it snow... Not too heavily though, I still need to drive to work :-) ... show more
