This is an excellent product at a fair price. The cream creates a barrier that protects the skin, while mosturizes it. leaves hands very soft, and it doesn't feel greasy. I know that this is a favorite brand (Avene) in France, and Amazon offers it at a very good price. I will buy it again, from Amazon. I bought it this year in Paris, and it was more expensive there.

Avene Cicalfate Restorative Hand cream leaves my hands feeling very soft! A little goes a long way, I have had mine for a year. Soon I will be purchasing another tube. Yes, it is a little pricey for a hand cream, but does the job better then any other product I have used on my hands. Highly recommend this hand cream if you have dry, sensitive skin. It also has no added fragrance which I really appreciate!

This cream is unbelievable. goes in instantly, makes hands soft after one application and creates a barrier to protect your hands against cold and water. I live in VT and have tried numerous "extreme" hand creams that are heavy and greasy and useless~ this one is the best. I also like that it is fragrance-free except for that mild "Avene" spring water smell. I have two tubes, one for my night table and one next to the kitchen sink. I am 47 and have tried numerous face and body products`` you could say I used to be a "junkie" :) but I always come back to Avene. I have extremely sensitive skin and Avene products are a life saver.

After using the hand creme, my hands feel dry and look dry. In fact they feel dryer than my hands would feel without any hand cream or lotion. Not worth my money. Eucerin hand cream for dry hands feels so much better and 60% cheaper!

I hate writing negative reviews, especially when I really wanted to like something. My hands get very dry around my fingernails. When it gets bad, my skin peels and I'm left with terrible looking fingers. I heard this product was fantastic for eczema and thought it would work for my concern (definitely not ezcema). First, I didn't know what they meant by a "powdery" feeling, but I totally get it now. It feels dry almost immediately, but leaves this strange film on my skin. I appreciate it not being greasy or sticky, but it was so uncomfortable for me I couldn't sleep and had to wash it off. My next issue is the smell. It's bizarre. It's not "bad" I guess, but it's just so weird and a little off-putting. When I use it I find myself avoiding putting my hands anywhere near my face so I don't have to smell it. Lastly, I don't think it's helped hydrate or moisturize my skin at all. I've gotten far better results from products that cost a 5th of the price. Maybe my issue is that this product is really only meant for certain skin conditions and I just didn't meet that requirement? Who knows. All I know is, I spent a lot of money on a relatively small tube of a product I cannot stand to use. I wanted to like it, but now it's lost at the bottom of my bag in hopes I'll find someone that would appreciate it far more than me.
