My quest started looking for the basic 4711. A scent my mother wore when I was little. My father stationed in Istanbul Turkey while I was very young in the 1960's. I decided I'd try this when I spotted it here on Amazon. So Happy I decided to choose it. It is light but potent. Beautiful mix of floral & citrus. My fiance noticed it right away & was like WHAT DO YOU HAVE ON??? I LOVE IT!....Lol I recall reading citrus orange & grapefruit based scents capture male attention. Apparently very true. I'm a big fan & so is he. I feel it is middle of the line on price neither to high too low. The scent lasting or longevity seems longer than average, but may be since it is new to me. I bought this with high hopes never having smelled it in person. I'm someone who loves 4711 and was imaging this orange colored box would contain something that would be 4711 mixed with something truly orangey. Not getting the orangey at all, but heavy spice is coming through in a way that defies what I was expecting. I will use this with the hope that the scent will grow on me. 4711, you've gone too far in calling this a remix. The longevity greatly exceeds the original 4711, which is unexpected as well. You don't get 4711 thinking it will last, but rather as a fresh and temporary blast. Agreed, it's strange to complain of a scent being longer lasting, but there you have it. Lovely packaging. Bright, zesty cologne that could be unisex. Nice revitalizing effect...kind of like slapping some Jean Nate on a long time ago. I like to wear it when out and about during the day, to the gym, etc.
