I live in a 3 yr. old, new construction home. Breakers started popping off 3 months after moving in. Amazon was the only place I could quickly find replacements and I was shocked at the price but the breaker that controls my router electric was off every night for a week and I needed it to work remotely so I ordered it. So far it has not failed. 2 other original breakers subsequently failed, the worst was my fridge was off every morning for 2 weeks, but it worked fine all day. Realizing that I could never go away for a weekend due to power outages for my fridge, I ordered another breaker. Just prior to the router breaker, my garbage disposal breaker kept flipping off, so I also replaced that one. Last week we had both a power outage and an internet outage. All 5 of my original breakers were flipped off, all 3 of my new breakers were still on. I would give this breaker 5 stars but they are just too expensive. I hope I don't have to replace any more of these, however, the new ones seem to hold up much better than the not quite 3 year old originals. New technology just seems to be planned obsolescence, Nothing lasts very long, things are hard to find and if you do find it, you probably can't afford it. ... show more

I called Eaton and found out that the company will replace the breaker for free as there was a defect in the breaker I had!

    • It works, I guess?
This was listed as a newer version of the breaker I was replacing. It installed easily enough, and it works. The old breaker kept tripping off with a trouble code of Failed Internal Diagnostic. New breaker hasn't tripped so far. The Test button works as intended. HOWEVER, after resetting the breaker the rest LED is lit solid ON. This condition is not documented in the user manual. So I am not sure if there is something wrong or not. ... show more

    • A bit pricey, but worth it
Kept having our laundry room breaker trip in our home. Before calling an electrician, we decided to try and just replace the breaker 1st. There are plenty of Youtube videos showing the install. Basically, just turn off the main power to BUS first.
