    • These really are a must for any household
So, after I took a class on residential wiring and saw how nasty arc faults could lead to arc flashes (basically explosions), I decided to swap out the traditional breakers with this combination breaker (might as well get GFCI protection on the circuit too). Unfortunately, I could not use these in lieu of its pig-tailed sibling. These have a much better design (avoid the whole pig tail method) by plugging directly into the panel. Unfortunately, you need a special panel to use these - a panel that I do not have. While the newer panel is a better bet, installing it is beyond my scope (for now), so back they went. Bottom line though, you really should install these in your main. While arc faults might not be as common as one thinks, they can be a disaster if they do happen. Pay the $50 (per breaker) and protect your home from burning down or being burned by an arc flash. ... show more

This is a "used or returned" product that is still like new. Looks new and works perfectly. This model is an upgrade to the Eaton breaker I am replacing with a much improved ground buss snap-on terminal design which replaces the older wired ground that must be attached o the buss under a set screw.
