Description

A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a nineteen-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left. Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy- tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay home and be heartbroken, or go travel Europe for a month by myself. And staying at home heartbroken?F%k. That. What does a woman do when her life has fallen apart and her heart has been ripped out and stepped on twice in two months? She goes on a wild adventure, makes some bad decisions, and does a sht load of soul searching. But most importantly? She finds out how to love…herself. This is so not Eat, Pray, Love. This is Eat, Pray, FML.Due to the mature language and content this book is recommended for readers 18+"Even with five kids, I could NOT put this book down. I don’t think I’ve ever read something more raw, relatable, and wildly entertaining. For anyone who’s gone through love, divorce, heartbreak, or needs to learn to love themselves and take their damn power back. READ. THIS. BOOK. -Tori Spelling (Actress)"Reading this book has absolutely inspired me. These are words of pure truth. To say I needed to read this is an understatement. I'm so thankful for this book and how it opened my eyes about myself and my relationships. I'm ready to see it on the big screen!"-SCOUT TAYLOR COMPTON (Actress)"Eat, Pray, FML is a riveting journey of what happens when your life is thrown to the wolves and you come out leading the pack. This isn't a soul-searching book, it's a soul defining book, and Gabrielle shows us how to elegantly do so...without giving a single f%k."-K.L. • Read it in less than a week!
I bought this book awhile ago when I saw Gabrielle on tiktok. I had quite a few books ahead that I had to get through first. I took this one on vacation with me because I’ve been dying to read it…and read it I did! In less than a week! There was not one single moment that the story was slow or lackluster. I never wanted to put it down! Thank you so much Gabrielle for sharing your story💗 I can’t wait to purchase and read her follow up book (The Misadventures of a Single Girl)! ... show more

  • F*$k Daniel and Javier and Those Bad Reviews
Let me start off by saying - those bad reviews at the top have to be fake and Amazon should check their algorithm. If you read the story you know that a certain couple are social influencers and just all-around terrible people and I would not put it past them to have a hand in voting those bad reviews. Not saying everybody has to have the same opinion but I am saying that knowing this story, knowing the family this story has built, it just seems off. Take my two cents as you will, however, now about the book itself: I was searching for THE book to speak to me during a really rough time in my life. I had recently found out that my boyfriend of 10 years was/had been cheating on me, like a lot. In addition, I realized the years of being gaslighted and emotionally abused really put some deep trauma in me. While I knew I was better off, it still hurt and I wanted to find somebody, anybody who could relate to what I was going through. I would try books that were recommended and not finish due to the negative tones, and the way the story was written (unrelatable). Then in late 2020, I came across Gabrielle's TikTok. She had been cheated on and then had her heart broken and she.was.smiling. Her energy spoke to me and I wanted to hear more about how she went from heartbreak to smiling and sharing her story. Gabrielle talks about her ex-husband, ex-boyfriend, and all other trauma in a way that is so raw. As I was reading about her experience of finding out her husband cheating on her, I felt like I was there - I had literal flashes of recalling very similar experiences that I went through and directed my own feelings of hate towards Daniel. When Gabrielle was falling in love and then having her heart break, I felt anger towards Javier (& most men). I cried and sympathized with her because if you have ever had your heartbroken, you feel for anybody who has experienced something similar - and you will feel that in the beginning stages of her story. Eventually, Gabrielle goes on this epic journey - and again the way she writes about it is very relatable. While I didn't get to take an epic Europe adventure I think we can all relate to what one goes through to move on and forget something. Gabrielle is going through exactly that in her adventure. Some people chose to hermit and close of from the world, some people chose to go out and party and drink. Whatever you do - we can all relate to having our own coping mechanisms. We all need to get it out before we can begin to heal. The thing that I love the most about this story - there isn't necessarily a happy ending. I don't want to get into too much detail to spoil anything, but I think it is a great reminder that healing TAKES TIME. You can't rush your healing and you can't expect it to be linear or follow the path that worked for others. It is totally ok to not have everything figured out. Long story short - Buy this book and give it a try. Especially if you are dealing with heartbreak, are in or was in a toxic relationship, or just want to have a great laugh at the expense of somebody else's life. I promise you won't regret it. The media could not be loaded. This book has helped me cope with the anxiety and fear my recent breakup has caused. The author is very transparent in telling her truth. It gives me so much hope for my journey and what’s to come. I am so excited to order and read part 2!!!

  • Inspiring, Hilarious & Intriguing
Eat Pray #FML is a book I would read again and again. The way Gabrielle writes makes you feel like you're right there with her in the midst of heartbreak, adventure, self-discovery, and so much more. Her humor and realness throughout the entire book make the book entertaining as well as thought-provoking. You'll end the book with more insight on how to question your own thoughts and realize you deserve all the love in the world, regardless of the hardship you face and heartless people that may try to convince you otherwise. Highly recommend snagging this book! ... show more
