This book was very helpful for me to start playing piano again. There are really the most beautiful and well-known songs, and even though the arrangements are simplified you can still play the original melody and harmony.

This book contains a one page version and a full version of each song! Love that!! Well chosen recognizable songs that even pianists without much experience can learn to play quickly and enjoy. A great book for piano students and anyone else who appreciates classical music. I do hope they come out with a spiral book that would be a little easier to hold open. I know many people who like me took piano lessons and stalled out around 2 to 3 years. If you are like that, or if you are in you third year of taking lessons, this book will probably satisfy you. Most of the songs are very familiar. My family likes hearing them too.

    • These songs are fun to play
My grandchildren have taken 2 years of piano lessons now so I got this book for them. The catch is that the book stays at my house. I had about 5 years of piano lessons when I was young. That makes this book fairly easy for me. My grandchildren however can't quite play these yet. But they can plunk out the melodies of the one page versions. And they want to get good enough to play these songs with both hands, so I'll be patient. For now, I'm having fun playing very recognizable songs myself and showing off a bit. ... show more

This book is great for beginners and the collection of masterpieces is extremely carefully selected - suitable for beginners (or maybe if you want to start again with playing the piano!) and there're really the most known and beautiful songs.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to play all of the stunning top classical music compositions with minimal experience! The author has simplified them to a melody level, but with both hands. In the first section of the book, each piece is presented on a single page - the major motif. In the second part, you'll discover the same pieces but in a more complete arrangement that is closer to the original.
