These curtains are nearly perfect. They hang nicely. They block the sun - not blackout, but I didn't expect that from a lighter color. They block out the heat from the sun and the cold from the cold north wind. I haven't had them very long but we've experienced both summer and winter this week! If your room is not dark enough, if you wake up with the morning sun, if you feel tired after a full night's sleep, TRY THESE SHADES!!! I bought my first set for my room, and boy, what a difference! I haven't slept this well in YEARS! I just got another set for my daughter's room and we put up the curtains after we got home from work and school. She is very excited to sleep tonight. Her room faces the morning sun, so she usually wakes up when the sun comes through the blinds. After we put up the curtains (using the Amazon Basics Room Darkening Blackout Curtain Rod, which was pretty easy to install), we closed the door and the curtains. It was so dark!!! And this before the sun went down. These curtains are inexpensive, renter-friendly, and come in a variety of sizes and colors. Why would you not try them??? ... show more

I was highly skeptical about these curtains but needed to try something for our bedroom. When I first received them I wasn't impressed because they were very light and airy but when I put them up I instantly notice the reduction of sound. Only recently have I noticed the dramatic reduction because I am no longer able to hear raindrops against the window which actually cause a flood in my house because I wasn't able to remove the flood trap in time for a major rainstorm that occurred at 2:00 a.m. I can laugh about it now but it was quite a clean up. In addition it's quite a testament as to how well these curtains reduce sound. In addition I no longer get up at 6:00 in the morning because of these curtains , darkness never gives way to light. We are totally amazed at the difference these curtains have made in our lives. These are well made curtains. Grommet tops. I have three sets in my bedroom. Keeps it almost pitch dark. When I open one in the AM Im blinded. Bought for thermal value also.... we shall see.....

I bought the beautiful teal color. It does need to be ironed out of the packaging. Be careful it’s polyester and not to burn it. ( I had to hang it up without ironing - it did not shake out wrinkles.) It’s a medium weight and no it’s not sheer which is great. Add nice rich color to the room.

These curtains look beautiful however…they are definitely not as listed in the description. They are NOT lined! They consist of only the curtain fabric and they only block maybe 30% of light (generous estimate) and don’t seem to do much of anything as far as thermal or noise insulation. I wonder if I received the wrong product?? They wash beautifully and came out of the dryer with only a few wrinkles. Because they look nice, I won’t return them but they are definitely not as described or what I thought I ordered. I will need to either search for curtains like this that better meet my needs for light blocking, thermal and noise insulation. Otherwise I will need to line them with blackout fabric. ... show more

I mistakenly had given a not so good review on these curtains. review was for another pair that was returned. These appear to be much better and less money. The material is very soft and the color is a nice light sage. Can't wait to get them hung. Like that they are room darkening
