Great at blocking light

I have had these curtains up for a little over a month now. I absolutely love them. I got them to replace a pair that had gotten yellowed from the sun after 7 years or so. They didn't totally darken the room since they were white. If the sun was out you could still tell it was daylight. If they were closed during the day I didn't need to turn on my light really. They did the job for me. I don't have night shift or anything, but the sun shines directly in my window in the morning and I enjoy sleeping in. Ok, now onto these curtains. They are so much darker than I expected. It will be 2 in the afternoon and I will think it was night. A little bit of sun will peek out the top and sides but once the sun has moved on you can hardly notice. The photo was taken at 9am and the sun isn't directly shining in any more. I have sheer panels over the blackout curtains. These don't come in this pattern. If you don't want anylight coming in, you will need to not use a curtain rod. I am sure if these are completely flat against the wall around the window, they won't let any light in.

If you know all about the Texas heat, you need these curtains

For years we never had curtains in our living room for aesthetics, but the past few years it seems to be getting hotter than he-double hockey sticks in Texas. This year as our electricity was going up we decided to get these curtains to cool our living room. This was the first time we bought these as we have some in each of the bedrooms and they are perfect blackout curtains. So when we decided to look for ones for the living room we went with what we knew, and knew these were great. I cannot tell you the difference in temp in our house. It was dramatic!!! You could go from the living room to the kitchen and feel the difference!! It was amazing, we decided to add them to the kitchen window as well, but sadly they did not come in the length we needed. I would def buys these if you live in Texas and can't stand the heat and want to lower your electricity bill!! Only downside was my husband complained it was so dark, it looked like dracula's house! LOL!

Versatile use curtains that lay perfectly beautifully

The color I chose is camel. The length is 54”. They lay perfectly with folds attended to during installation so they keep a tailored look and don’t look sloppy like some grommet curtains will. I’ll keep them opened for a couple weeks to train the materials to go back to a tailored hanging position after closing at night or on sunny days on my porch. This may become a bother since it does get a lot of sun all day. I’m hoping the sun will help train the folds a lot quicker for me. My last porch curtains were cotton but they practically starched and ironed themselves in the full sun. These materials are polyester and more soft. The color of choice was Camel and was a more outdoors kind of vibe. The Camel is more like a sable color brown. I used the same color on my shed for the trim. I’m sold. It’s just lovely. Very woodsy around my home so I love the blend they created with the trees and greenery. They completely transformed my outdoors space look and it’s very classy out here. I have a three season porch enclosed so winter breezes will get left out at the windows if I close them for breezy winter days but they will catch sun and keep insulating the warm from the front side through to my uninsulated enclosure I hope. A bit of happy times so far. I just love them. My windows are 33’ inside the frame (W) and 52” long (L) inside the frame top to bottom. They hangover just a bit. The grommets are large enough to fit any curtain rod. I hung mine on tension rods that are new and the size is just maybe 1” around and it’s holding them great. Thank goodness the curtains are a hefty looking material but light weight. Great combination. Im so happy I chose these curtains I really did research. Get these. I do highly recommend them.

Nice, but not true 100% blackout curtain's

4 stars because they are not 100 black out curtains. Nice and work for my needs, Absolutely do not block 100% of light. As you can see in the photo, should have read more reviews. I will keep them because they will suit there purpose enough in the den. They are made well and great for the price. Just wanted to warn others about it. Maybe something to do with the color of these. Note: I have this same brand in black, the black out works great in those. Firmly believe its the light color of these causing the weaker blackout!

I bought the last 3 pairs of 52x96 curtains, very good. The material is nice not too thin or thick just right. For privacy it can’t be seen through and it can block the sun set in the afternoon. The price was good. I also bought curtain weights to add it later.

BEST EVER!! Darker colors better

First off, the darker the colors the more blackout it will be for these particular ones. I have the Navy blue which is true to color in our bedroom and grey ones in our living room. These are amazing!! Our room has NEVER been dark, even with the pull-down accordion tan blinds that are "blackout" my hubby got from a store a long time ago...anyways, these curtains here though have made both rooms dark AF, light only shines where the curtains break if you don't close all the way or have it long enough. Ours are perfect. I have added photos of both the grey and navy blue. You will NOT be disappointed in these! I will say.. personally I like the long curtains, I don't care too much for the window length only because it looks nicer and you don't get the tiny bit of light peaking through the bottom. Hubby's decision on shorties for the living room but again it's still blacks out the light and makes the room dark. So our room is the darker photo, the living room is open so the light is from our front door and kitchen, but it actually is dark enough! Won't regret these curtains, well...unless you get the lighter colors and are picky, then spend the extra money and get the HEAVY multiple layered blackout curtains.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m really happy with these blackout curtains! They block out a lot of the light, which is exactly what I wanted, especially for bedrooms and nap time. The thermal material is a nice bonus, and they feel like good quality for the price. The grommets make them super easy to hang and slide open and closed. They also look nice without feeling overly heavy or bulky. Definitely a great purchase!

Measurement shorter than advertised, and not exact color shown in image

These curtains are pretty, but not what I was trying to replace. In the photos they were darker, and I matched them up to the previous curtain color I had with the photo in the ad. Mine were a deep burgundy, almost a purple, not so bright, which you can see in the 3rd image I posted. The advertised photo had that same color when I held the monitor up close! I even messed with the brightness to be sure, and it appeared they should have matched, but nope, these were brighter. Although my Daughter likes them, I am not crazy about the bright color. I have posted a photo image here to compare just how much difference there is. Also, these were supposed to be 84 inches long, which would have perfectly laid on the edge of the doorwall trim, but are actually approx 82 inches as they do not even reach the trim and are 2 1/2 inches higher, exposing the glass, so what should have been a perfect fit now expose quite a bit of the glass and my blinds stick out the bottom. You cannot see it at a distance, but it is obvious and noticeable if you are standing next to them, and it drives me nuts. While I realize the ad stated it might have an inch variation difference, these look ridiculous. I measured them 3x for accuracy and they should have fit perfectly. NOPE! I ordered 2 sets of these curtains, for a total of 4 panels for more darkening effect and ruffle. I am disappointed on the length, and will keep them for now until I can find a better replacement that is the proper length and a bit darker. Other than that, they have that thick polyester feel to them, though it is softened, and they appear to be great blackout curtains had it not been for my pickiness on matching up the color and the missing length quantity. I wish these were what was advertised and expected. I was so excited about finding the right color and price. Too bad.
