Buying these took a lot of time because there are so many competing brands or sellers or models of the same thing. positive reviews aren't always trustworthy because they can be fake. Negative reviews can be trustworthy bc they're usually real, but that does make it hard to buy things sometimes when every single thing has a bunch of negative reviews. I bought 2 of these and they've been working great. This is probably TMI but it's 1 am and i'm writing Amazon reviews right now, for whatever reason, completely sober by the way. Anyway, i actually use these in the bathroom. 😆 So, many people use the Squatty Potty™ foot stool. I didn't want an ugly piece of plastic. but also wanted 2 pieces instead of one, because the Squatty Potty™ offers limited leg movement. With these you can put your legs however you want. 😆 I do play guitar though, and it's been a while since i've picked up my classical. But when the time comes to play my classical, i'll just grab one of these from the bathroom and actually use it for what it was built for. 😆 ... show more

Serves it's purpose well. Very comfortable to use for playing guitar. But, it would be nice if the adjustable bar could lock into place. It comes undone if you pick it up to move it, which can be inconvenient to fix with your guitar plugged in and strapped to your body.

The footstool is well made and sturdy, and the adjustment is simple and effective. Please note: the advertised 4-inch minimum height is actually 4.5 inches at the heel, and the footstool slants upward. So the actual lowest height is more like 4.5 to 5 inches. At first I liked this stool. Then after a few months, the sharp edges beneath the rubber feet split reviling sharp metal edges that scratched my wood floor.

This footrest should last longer than my previous one, as the rubber surface is more firmly affixed to the metal. Seems well designed.
