So... I really wanted to like these, and I do, but not for studio use or day to day practice with the band (unless your girlfriend shows up and wants to be part of the band). When these tambourines first arrived the stretched skin was nice and tight. Yes, it is animal skin, so no vegan leather or some synthetic material (which also sound pretty good). Anyways, the skin was tight and today it is very warped and sagging. I stored them with my other band equipment room which has 34% humidity, so I don't know what happened. I'm still giving it 5 stars, because, regardless of the warping that happened here at my home, it does sound good, and can easily be used by hippies, church goers, and groupies that show up at your show, and want to play something to be part of the band, but have nothing. ... show more

These are a nice tambourine product for most use. If you're a professional percussionist, you probably would want a more professional product. But for me, who occasionally records a tambo part to a song, but not always, this is a great two pack. This would be a great buy to stash on an open-mic stage, in a personal recording studio, or to bring to a camp out or music festival.
