The posts that this net rolls up into are attached to the edges of the game table. Actually, they are 2-1/2” onto the table surface of our ping-pong table and extend into the area of play, where a ball can easily hit them during play. The tension of the net causes the posts to lean into the play area a bit. One of the pictures I’ve attached shows our current net in front of this portable net. You can see how our net extends beyond the edge of the table so it doesn’t interfere in the play area. The paddles are about an eighth of an inch narrower than our existing paddles. We don’t know if our paddles are too large or these are too small. We don’t think this would cause any problem during play. The good news is that this net will attach to any table up to two inches thick. Overall, the idea of a portable table tennis set is a good one. If you are setting it up on a picnic table and having a fun day playing table tennis, this is a good set. You probably wouldn’t be using this for serious competitive games. My husband and I give this set a 4-Star rating as we believe it suits the intention of a portable set. But it could have been designed better so it doesn’t interfere with the play area. ... show more

We had a ping pong table locked away in the garage. Only the net has long gone after the latch went long ago. This nifty gadget has been a lifesafer in this regard! I love that we can take it with us on our occasional vacation as well...recommended for sure for those who have a use for it!

I was exited for this, my toddler ran around with this like a briefcase proudly. The clamp is limited to open. I couldn't get it on my DIY coffee table (2.5") but it fits great on a folding table (mines a little smol). So anything over 2" is not recommended to clamp too. You got to be conscious of the table length to be able to clear the net on each side, and know its not going to be easy to play on every table. Maybe great to store in a conference room for work parties but that's it. I grew up with a ping pong table, it takes a lot of space, but fun to play. The paddles included are a part of my disappointment. They are a solid injection molded plastic with a matte foam surface. There is nothing to grip and hit the balls well, no springiness or bounce. The top mesh that holds the balls is a little difficult to work with. There's no elastic, so instead its a almost too small an opening to place the balls in there. I assume its because you got to unhook it to use the net. Elastic wouldn't hang well and keep it all contained. Sadly this is made of cheap plastic and materials. It doesn't make a superb first impression. We love the compactness but its a disappointing execution IRL. I've had an item change on me in the far past. At purchase this was called "EastPoint Sports Everywhere Table Tennis Net & Paddle Set - Play Ping Pong Anywhere! This ping pong set is a pretty good alternative if you do not have a dedicated table at home. This set allows you to play anywhere and it fits most tables. Installation was really easy. It attaches to the table with a clamp system and it retracts for easy setup and takedown. The set includes two table tennis paddles and three ping pong balls, providing everything needed for a complete game. Paddles kinda suck with no grip and all around plastic but you get what you pay for. Ping pong balls are also average quality like beer pong balls. Overall build quality is decent. Net is a bit flimsy but the paddles and balls withstand regular use. I used it several times and it has held up. Overall the set is a convenient option for casual table tennis play anywhere. I’m always trying to add board games and outdoor games to our collection to get as much quality time with my kids as possible, and since the youngest is a tween, that’s not always an easy feat. They enjoy games, but not for long periods of time, but so far they have played ping pong with me for an hour at a time, so this is one of my favorite additions. It’s so simple, I love that it’s all connected together hanging from my sports organizer caddy stand nice and neat, and only takes 20 seconds to set up my patio dining table for a few rounds. This is a great game for all ages. I think durability depends on how frequently it’s used and by whom. The quality is fine, as expected for the cost, and it’s all we need.
