Got this last summer to use for house party, its relatively simple to set up - after you've done it once. Hardest part was fully understanding the instructions, 2nd set up was fast and simple. Once set up the net is solid and sturdy, I admit I had my doubts at first but it's not an expensive product. That being said, the shuttle cocks (birdies) came warped and are very low quality, and the racquets are cheaply made too. If you are looking for something for just a few uses here and there, then the birdies and racquets should be OK.If you buy separately (as we did) quality birdies and racquets this net could last you many years and is easy to throw in a car to setup at a park or friends house. ... show more

The most frustrating part of getting anything involving a net is finding a good place to stake it to the ground where it won't sway with every breeze or come tumbling down from a weak foundation. What I LOVED about this product is that there are no stakes, but only a plastic base that is extremely easy to assemble and the net stays in place no problem. I was extremely impressed with the sturdiness of this net, and I had a blast taking it camping with myself and a few friends this summer. One thing I will say is the rackets are kind of flimsy. The first time we used them, holes were forming, which caused the birdie to get caught in the spaces in the racket, however, those are cheap buys, so I feel as though this product is still warranted a 5-star review. This has provided a lot of backyard fun for my family. My kids in their early teens love it. Its easy to set up, easy to store in out outdoor furniture bin. We get evening delta breeze and this holds up in the wind when we use the tie downs. I must say it's pretty cheap plastic. The base has cracked early on and I feel we have been very careful with it and taken care of it. The netting border started fraying early. And the racket handles started unraveling immediately. It's still usable. We purchased a pack of birdies as the two that come with it fell apart fast. So for us, we are getting a lot of use and fun out of it however I don't see it lasting more than one spring/summer season. For the cost it's worth the fun with the family. Easy to put toghether, it is portable and a lot wider and sturdier than I had expected. My teens enjoy it very much, they can play in front of the house, they have loads of fun, also they play like counting to see how many times thay can keep the bird without hitting the floo, like a cooperative game, and it's so much fun this way. I purchased this badminton set hoping for a quick and fun way to play outdoors with family and friends. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. After opening the box, I found that several parts were already broken or cracked, including one of the poles and a connector piece. This made it impossible to set up the net securely, and the overall quality felt flimsy compared to other recreational sets I’ve owned in the past. The setup instructions are simple enough, but because the parts were defective, the “easy setup” claim didn’t hold true for me. The rackets included are very lightweight, which may work for casual players, but they don’t feel durable enough to handle regular play. Even the shuttlecocks seemed cheaply made and looked like they would not last more than a few games. Unfortunately, I was leaving town right after receiving this item, so I missed the chance to process a return or exchange. That makes the purchase even more frustrating, as it was essentially unusable right out of the box. Overall, I cannot recommend this set. If you’re looking for something reliable for backyard games or family gatherings, I would suggest investing in a sturdier brand, even if it costs a little more. While the idea of an all-in-one portable badminton kit is great, the execution here falls short in terms of quality and durability. ... show more

Bought this for my kids in the backyard. It is all plastic so it is lightweight and portable. Overall easy to set up except the extensions on the side can prove a little difficult. The rings between the different rods come off. My kids have trouble pushing in the buttons to collapse the rods. So the build quality is okay. I like the design for storage.
