Gorgeous and functional. Shame the cork doesn't seal better, and I wouldn't' recommend trying to use it for an inkwell, but I certainly have never regretted using it as place to rest the pen. I've even packed it back up in the shipping Styrofoam when i take my work on the go. it gets compliments.

It's just the right size. It fits my pen perfectly. The bigger hole at the bottom is big enough to even stick paint brushes through.

The glass holder is a beautiful piece. It does a suitable job of holding my glass dip pen. However, the pen was not part of a set, so my it may be a bit larger in diameter than those in a set. The opening to dip the pen just fits. But the smaller opening to rest the pen is spot on. Despite the apparent fragility of the holder, it has taken a few knock-overs without damage. I would have liked something with a bit more heft to keep from being prone to tipping. Again, it may be due to my pen being on the thicker and weightier side. Lighter-weight pens should have no problem. I really do like the holder as it really is beautiful with its blue swirl. ... show more

This piece is perfect to hold my glass pens and a little water to rinse them when I am playing with my inks. It is such an ingenious design. It looks so delicate and yet sturdy enough to hold my glass pen without the fear of breaking it. Love, love, love it!!!
