I did a lot of reading of reviews and took a chance on this one. I have typically purchased high end brushes like Laura Mercier makeup brushes. Years ago I came across e.l.f. brushes in an Old Navy and on a whim I bought their kabuki brush for applying a powder and love it. I needed an additional eyebrow powder brush at work as I commute by bike and though I apply makeup before I leave, because of the weather, I often touch up at work and finally broke down to start investing in a 2nd set of brushes. For me, this brush is the perfect combination of flexibility but hardness to keep bristles in place to do their job. I apply a small amount of brow powder on the brush and the brush has great control and precision. For the price, I'm impressed. I only use this brush for my eyebrows. I had bought one a few years ago and after being too harsh with it while washing, I had to throw my old one away. I thought I could get by with the small brush that comes with the eyebrow powder, but the brush was way too harsh and dense (and made me look like a cartoon villain). I decided to try to find the same brush I used to have to look more like a normal human. After a few days of using the provided cheapy brush, I finally got the ELF brush and it felt soooo soft. The edge was super sharp but flexible, and not too dense to make me look surprised all the time. I looove!
