I bought this based on an online recommendation for people with intensely oily skin. I find that it doesn't combat the oil much, in fact it leaves a dewy finish. However, it really held up my makeup. Touching my face did not smear away the product like most setting sprays. I could actually blot my face with extremely minimal transfer and no loss of coverage. Wow. Now I did use a new powder foundation instead of my usual liquids but I'm so impressed with the combination of the two products that I'll just stick with that for now. To whoever said this smells like formaldehyde, they must not know how pungent and caustic formaldehyde really is. I'm a biologist and it doesn't compare. At all. Actually, I found this more natural and less chemical smelling than my NYX and Wet N Wild setting sprays. Any better smelling cosmetic product is just compensated with heavy perfume.

This product truly works!! Even if I've been out in 95+ degree weather all day my makeup stays out with the help of this mist!! It has a pleasant scent but it doesn't linger, after you spray it on it takes about 60s for it to dry and set.

This stuff sucks. I might as well be spraying pure water over my makeup. I'm usually very happy with ELF products but this one is a dud. I'm so disappointed it didn't set my makeup at all. It was just like pure water, even smelled and felt like water. Not worth it at all.
