    • Nose Strut Snaps Like Toothpick
The plan really is a great scale model of the A10 and other than size, looks and behaves EXACTLY like a real A10. Unfortunately, there is a MAJOR weakness in the front landing gear, which snaps immediately on landings, and immediately tears the nose up, usually destroys the nose cannon, and causes major cosmetic issues. There have been so many complaints written on the Horizon Hobby website they pulled them all. To get around the breakage, A10 buyers replace the strut with an equivalent sized stainless screw and modify it before flying. I have owned (3) of these planes and the nose strut snapped on everyone of them. For $379.00 people shouldn't have to do modifications upon purchase. The plane does fly very well, is easy to fly, and looks great. But what a disappointment to repeatedly end out with a messed up nose, snapped nose gear, and damages on standard landings. ... show more

    • Use a servo tester BEFORE completing assembly!
The media could not be loaded. I have not gotten my new hog off the ground, as I had to ship back my original plane. Do yourself a huge favor and be sure to test all of the servos with a servo test her before attaching the tail or completing assembly. Because I tested the gear, I was able to determine that the left left wing was faulty and did not deploy. Check video. ... show more

Probably built well enough for experienced pilots, not so much for intermediate but the learning curve strikes again

    • Keep to the book on flight time.
Flying it is a blast or should I say brrrrrrrrrrt. Looks so real in the air! Had a battery fail and result was not good. Some glue and some luck and she’ll be back in the air.
