The Dyson pure cool me fan is a unique machine, combining the functions of a fan and an air purifier—both HEPA (particulate) and VOC (molecular). After 3 months of testing room fans, including testing a new round of 8 more in summer 2019, I’m sure the Dyson Pure cool me is the best choice for most people. It effectively circulates air directly on a person or couple without having to oscillate, is easy to place and control, and has a long track record of reliability, backed by a company warranty. This powerful, feature-packed fan was the quietest and easiest to clean of all I reviewed, however, it’s more expensive than most. Its design is stunning, and it’s worth considering if money’s no object. At first glance, it may appear to be an overpriced gimmick, but in addition to being the quietest model I reviewed, it is one of the most powerful, easy to clean and maintain. It includes an elegant remote offering 10-speed settings so you can dial in exactly the right level of air movement. The stunning bladeless design and a small remote that magnetically clips to its side make this our favorite fan. Number 1, It's Dyson ... so you KNOW the quality it A-#1. Unfortunately, a high price accompanies it, but you get what you pay for. We're in a dust bowl here, so the air filtration system is a huge plus with the fan system. It's quiet, efficient and very modern, space-age looking. Great "curb appeal" .... we put it on the low dresser, oscillate the air and it cools us both nicely while we sleep. The only thing that took a little getting used to, is the magnetic remote control It's very small in stature and the magnet tends to roll on the machines side a little, but once I got used to it ... This is my second dyson fan. I use it at my Dads home. It is perfect for a table top. The breeze can be adjusted and is actually addictive for sleeping! I love the fact that it is cleaning the air while keeping me cool. It is pricy, but well worth the money. Beats a typical fan hands down.

Love this fan. I’ve had family members that have had some of the other classic stain fans and with the regular oval/round design it just never feels like there’s much air flow. I have this item on my bed side table and it’s been great during the summer. The sound it’s a perfect white noise as well. The air purifying feature really got put to work this summer as I live in Portland, OR and we had some horrible air quality. Thankfully with this fan it was able to keep air flowing in the house and clean as it went. Love it! ... show more

This is the product my boyfriend never knew he needed. It is a constant back and forth between us over fans. I HATE air blowing on me yet I need the sound to sleep. He could do without the sound but wants air blowing on him constantly. This is the perfect solution. It sits on his bedside table and blows only on him. However, on the higher modes, the sound is enough to put me to sleep It truly is the best of both worlds! My only complaint is the remote is kinda finicky and won't attach unless it is just perfectly placed. The fact this is also an air purifier makes it even more amazing. My bf is a vocalist and a regular fan blowing in his face is less than ideal. I bought this for him as a Christmas gift and I am interested in how it deals with the spring allergens. ... show more

We have an upstairs bedroom that doesn't cool down well in the summer. We placed one of these by the A/C air vent on the floor and it does a fantastic job of shooting the cool air towards the middle of the room and then the cool air distills down over the bed. It's amazing how it actually does seem to cool the air by purifying it, like when the A/C is off. We where thinking of getting a $5,000 split A/C system for the upstairs buy we may not need it now. The only issue is that I really wish the remote (for this amount of money spent) was R/F since it has to be in the line of sight of the unit to work. ... show more
