So in June 2017 I bought a refurbished Dyson from Amazon. What I didn't know is why I had so many issues with the hose, it never occured to me that maybe it was replaced with the wrong one. I always struggled to put the hose in AND have the want part put back in place properly it was such a pain. Fast forward to October 2024. I notice that the suction on my hose is terrible when trying to get things but it works fine on my hand. Then I discovered it. The hose had split near the top of the handle and the split was half way around the hose so now things are making perfect sense. It worked on my hand well because the hose wasn't extended. I was fearful this was going to be a costly fix but I was pleasantly surprised. I found this hose AND I could afford it! I read reviews on others but decided to go with this as it stated it was a legit Dyson product and not a generic knock off. I'm not sure how accurate that was but I bit because I love my vacuum and I also like to vacuum and couldn't be without one for long as I have plants and pets. I had already removed my old house prior to the arrival of this one. At first I couldn't get it on but once it snapped in place my worries began to melt away. I was slightly concerned at the bend in the hose from how it was packaged and shipped but that ended up being a non-issue. After popping it onto my Dyson and sliding my wand in place I was EASILY able to place everything where it belonged. My mind was blown. I no longer had an issue with the wand going into the hose and all of it being put into place on the body of the machine. I no longer had the struggle with this hose as i had my last one and that alone is worth it. I often times had just left the wand out and on the floor because it was such a hassle to fight with it all the time. I've had it for nearly 2 weeks now and every time I go to vacuum and pull the hose out to use attachments I am pleasantly surprised because the ease of use is 10x better than it's been for YEARS. I am thrilled! The button on it is a different shape than I'm used to but aside from that it's really a great fit.

Easy to install, flexible, and seems to be better quality than the original. The price of the replacement makes sense since it is a Dyson, fits in with the pet vacuum that is 10 years old, happy to find a replacement easily for a reasonable price.

It fell apart during the first use. Considering I have had the vacuum for 4-5 yrs now and just needing to replace it now is fantastic. But I feel the replaceyparts are not made as well. I use the hose alot because I have a 2 yr old, 2 cats and run it daily. We ended up using a gel like super glue and zip tied it and left it set for 24 hours. Have had no problems since. ...EDIT...CHANGED IT FROM A 3 TO A 5 ⭐ it is now June 29th and it is still holding strong

When I needed to replace the hose for my Dyson vacuum, I was disappointed to find that the replacement option available was not an original Dyson product. However, despite my initial skepticism, I decided to give it a try, and I've been pleasantly surprised by its performance over the past two months. Firstly, I appreciate the cost-effectiveness of this aftermarket replacement hose. While I would have preferred an original Dyson part, the price difference was significant, and this option allowed me to save some money without sacrificing functionality. In terms of performance, the replacement hose has exceeded my expectations. It fits my Dyson vacuum perfectly, with a snug and secure connection that ensures efficient suction. I've used it on various surfaces, from carpets to hardwood floors, and it has effectively picked up dirt, debris, and pet hair without any issues. I also appreciate the durability of the replacement hose. Despite regular use, it has held up well without any signs of wear or deterioration. The materials seem to be of good quality, and I haven't encountered any problems with leaks or tears. While I would have preferred an original Dyson product for peace of mind, I have to admit that this aftermarket replacement hose has performed admirably for the money. It's a reliable option that gets the job done without breaking the bank. If you're in need of a cost-effective replacement for your Dyson vacuum hose, this option is definitely worth considering.

Fits Dyson Ball Allergy. It was slightly shorter than the existing part that tore at the base, but that may be due to stretching of the old part. The old part was easy to remove by squeezing the clip w/ my thumb and pushing up from the bottom while in floor vacuuming mode. The new part was easy to install. After a month there has been no issues.

I have had this Dyson sweeper for about six years. It was the best price at $400. I went to use the suction hose the other day and the hose had split so I purchased this new one which came very quickly. The old hose was incredibly hard to get off before putting on this new one. I think the Dyson’s are one of the best built sweepers even though the DC 40 is a seven out of 10 online… I think it’s a nine out of 10 except for continuingly having to buy filters in order for it to work at 100%.

Broke after 3 months. At first I was pleased with the product as it fit perfectly and seemed good quality. The coiled hose came off the connection. Going to have to glue it together.

This product did exactly what it intended to do. The previous hose on my Animal 2 was broken and lost almost all suction. This hose is made very similar to the one the that came on the vacuum, so I am sure it will suffer the same fate as the previous. Time will tell how long this one lasts, since the previous hose lasted almost 4 years. Install is fairly straightforward and simple. The only negative is the button on the hose extension is red and not purple - which is the color of the animal 2, but honestly who cares - it’s not being entered into a vacuum contest for aesthetic appeal. All in all it works as intended and seems to be a quality replacement.
