I had a older dryer with some really stuck on lint. The dryer had been sitting unused for a few years, but I didn’t want to run it without cleaning out this dampened stuck on lint that was glued to the area just under the lint trap. I have various sized shop vacuums, so used the one with a smaller tube. It fit perfectly into the extension provided. I was happy that the flat tube extension fit behind the lint trap and into the compartment below where the stuck on lint was. Most of it was sucked up into the the vacuum. I did need to use a bamboo stick to scrape the stuck on lint in a corner, but the vacuum extension was able to suck up the loose stuff. It did get jammed once, so I stuck the bamboo stick down it to release the clog, which worked. This is when I noticed that Bobby pins were what had created the clog. All in all I was really pleased that I was able to clear the stuck on mess in the dryer. Very pleased with the results! ... show more

Tried all different ways to clean the dryer vent. Saw this and decided to give it a try. Connected it to my vacuum cleaner and it fit into the opening of the dryer perfectly. I was able to get all the dirt and debris out of the bottom of the dryer. This little contraption works great. And its good for getting in the space between a piece of furniture and the wall. Just buy this kit. I was amazed at how much lint I suctioned out of my dryer lint trap using this tool. I kept getting overheating errors on my dryer and this solved the problem. I also have a dryer vent cleaning kit that attaches to my drill, but this was also necessary to clean in all the various parts of the dryer itself. So, I had my dryer vents cleaned professionally, right? But guess what? My debit card was stuck in the lint tray! Even after the cleaning, there was still so much lint blocking my card. Until I got this, I could not figure out how to get the built up lint that was trapped under the lint tray in my dryer. I tried the several other recommended tools and strategies I’d found, but none of them worked. I was skeptical about this one too because of some of the reviews, but it worked perfectly for me. At first, I didn’t think it would attach to my Shark vacuum but the attachment stretches around it so with a little push, it securely attached. I have an Electrolux dryer that continuously gets build up in the blower which causes the dryer to make a very loud screeching noise. I’ve tried other fixes such as installing a different lint trap, but so much still gets past it. Before buying this product I’ve had appliance techs come out twice to take apart and clean out the dryer. With this nozzle I’m just barely able to squeeze my hand in to maneuver the vacuum tip to reach the blower section. I had to cut off about six inches from the original tip to be able to make it fit, but it was easily done using just a pair of scissors. The only downside is the super high pitch whistle that this connection makes. It will definitely make your ears ring. I started wearing ear plugs when using it. However, I was able to clean out the blower section by using this product and my dryer is no longer making the loud screeching noise. Glad I was able to find a fix that wouldn’t cost me anywhere near what I paid for a tech to come out. ... show more

My dryer was taking so long to dry...I would have to restart it for at least two cycles. I had recently cleaned out the vent with a different tool so I figured it must be something else. I noticed however it was rotating fine and it was heating so I decided to order this product and clean the vents again. IMMEDIATELY upon using it I realized I had NOT effectively cleaned out the vent to the outside or inside the lint trap area. The design of my dryer was compacting any excess lint that didn't come up on the lint trap, every time I was putting it back into place so there was a huge chunk of lint blocking airflow. This tool was thin enough on the nozzle end to reach into those tough places, but the suction was still strong enough to grab the lint. It was such a big chunk it wouldn't come up through the hose but I was able to pull up the tool and take off the chunks of lint and throw them away. I re-cleaned the exterior vent with the scrub brush and then used the vacuum attachments and got so much more lint. My dryer works perfectly now. I was so close to calling someone and I'm glad I didn't. It works much better than any other tools I've tried. ... show more
