This tool does the job with ease that it was designed to do. I received the product and connected the pieces as necessary. I then removed the screen that was attached to my dryer. Next step was to try this tool. It fit snuggly around my vacuum cleaner and did not feel like it was going fall off once I got started. The nozzle end (going into the dryer) was firm but soft enough to be angled and bent appropriately into the deep section of the dryer. It immediately sucked up a large clump of lint and "stuff." My vacuum canister was empty prior to me trying this out so I know how much was extracted. I ended up picking up a good deal of lint that would alternately been sitting in my dryer waiting for more lint to be added to it and possibly starting a fire. I feel confident that by using this tool every few weeks or so, will prevent a serious incident from happening. I love it. I highly recommend it and would purchase it again.

All I can say is WOW! I like to think that I am a good housekeeper and keep things clean for being my age, working full time and having 2 men in the house. I keep my washer and dryer spotless, but I could not help but take a second look at this item when I happened across it on Amazon, I do not even know how I saw it, but it appeared. I read reviews upon reviews and looked at pictures. I was astounded at the amount of lint people were pulling from their dryers! I knew I needed this. Backed up lint can be a fire hazard and for less than $10 for something simple that does the trick, you cannot go wrong. Anyhow, I stick my hand down in the lint screen area all the time to pull out loose lint that I can reach, but you cannot get to all of it. So, I ordered one just to see. I put it together last night. That was no chore at all, assembly took maybe a minute and probably not that long. It is super easy, a super simple gadget that does what could save lives! This morning, I attached it to my vacuum, cleaned the lint screen with it as it said to just to see.............yep, it pulled lint from the screen that I could not clean. Oh and mind you, my dryer is a super nice Samsung, only about a year and a half old. Then, I took this simple gadget to do the real test......could it really pull a large amount of lint out of that "restricted area"? Did I really have that much lint build up??? Yep, I surely did. Look at these pics! And they do NOT show the amount of lint that was sucked clear up to the top near the handle. It encompassed the filter. I did not even have to use the brush yet. $10. Actually less than $10. If you have a dryer, if you have a home and want to save yourself from what very could well be a big time fire hazard, invest in this. For as simple as it is, it could be a life saver. I am so glad that I purchased one. And for all of the people talking about the loud "whistling" or "squealing" noises, I am pretty sure that comes from a leaking of vacuum because they did not tighten the connections like they should be when assembling or attaching to their vacuum. I did not have that problem. Again, you cannot go wrong with this. Everyone with a dryer should have one.

This is a very good tool, and works much better than one I had purchased in the past, which was nothing but a piece of large diameter clear plastic tubing. The tubing is plenty long, and the included brush is very helpful in digging out lint that's packed into the little nooks and crannies way down inside. It's too soon to tell for sure, of course, but all the parts seem to be sufficiently sturdy that it should hold up well, and possibly last longer than your dryer, itself. This tool is very flexible due to the ribbing on the main tube. However, that ribbing also causes heavy clumps of lint to get stuck, necessitating extra effort to clear out those clumps. (It's not really obvious from the photos, but the main tube is actually oval shapped, rather than round, which is what causes those laege xlumps to hang up. If it was round, then it wouldn't tend to clog so easily. But then it wouldn't be quite as flexible. So it's a trade-off.) The ease of use of this tool will depend a lot upon the type of vacuum being used. If you have a full-sized floor vacuum, it should work great. However, if you have a small, rechargeable battery-powered vacuum, as we do, it'll require a bit more effort. For example, those large clumps I spoke of also kept clogging the narrow intake aperture inside my vacuum. It wasn't a disaster, I just had to keep stopping the vacuum to open the canister, remove the internal vortex fitting, and clear out the clog. I had to do that three times before I finished. If you clean your dryer as little as once a year, it should be much easier than the first time. Ours probably hadn't been cleaned out in almost 10 years. I expect the next time to be MUCH less work.
