I've purchased several attachments for my Dyson vacuums, and this is my favorite attachment. I'm very glad I took the chance and bought it. What I mean by "taking a chance": I was afraid to purchase it at first because on the Dyson website it states that it is not an accessory for the hand-held, cordless DC35--and that is what I wanted to use it with. I decided to go ahead and take the chance, thinking that if it wouldn't fit on the cordless, at least I could still use it with my full-size DC14. So, I'm here to state that it does attach--correctly; not held on by wedging it in; not held on with tape; not finagled in any way;--to the DC35. This attachment is a workhorse: It picks up the dust bunnies and the loose dust that sits under my furniture. Up until now, only my Swiffer or a broom with a dust rag wrapped around it, would move the dust from under my low clearance furniture. And I don't think the dust moved very far, and when I wasn't looking it moved right back to its hiding place. Some people have been disappointed with the fact that dust bunnies seem to stick to the fine brushes of this attachment. I think you need those fine brushes to pick up what needs to be picked up. So be it, if you have to clean the fine bristles: I use an old wash cloth--just a touch damp--to remove the web-like dust bunnies from the bristles. The wings of this attachment will fit under my sound system "black box": 1 ½" clearance. The whole head fits easily under any 3 ½" clearance. This attachment also has superior maneuverability. I'm also here to say that I'm not a big fan of vacuuming! So, I'm very happy right now to say that I've noticed a definite decrease in the amount of dust in my house. It seems that with the attachments I've purchased, I've eliminated more dust, more effectively and more efficiently. That's a lotta' "more"! And it shows on my floors, and under the furniture, and around the cat boxes, and on the ceilings, and on the blinds and on the ceiling fans! Actually, with using the attachments even just one time, I'm now spending less time doing my regular vacuuming. And that's a very good thing!

This Dyson hard floor tool is a genuine Dyson product and it fits my Dyson canister vacuum great. It works very well on my hardwood floors. Very happy with my purchase.

I got a new Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal in May and have been wanting to get this tool from the beginning but had to wait for my budget to have room for it. I finally ordered it and it arrived today. At the earliest opportunity i tried it out and i love it, really really love it, the way it can easily turn in so many different angles so that it does all the work of turning, i don't have to, i don't have to contort my body to get it right up against the baseboards and into tight corners that i couldn't get any other tool into--the only way was to stop the vacuum, get something like a crevice tool and bend own and twist it around to get it into those places, where this articulating tool easily can be pushed in the general direction and it finds its way to where i want it to go, all while comfortably standing up. Great tool for my needs. i have only used it in the kitchen and back porch/laundry room so far, not in the bathrooms. i wish i had something like this for the wall to wall carpeted areas. It did a good job of picking up the stuff i had on the floor. There was one piece that it could not pick up. I tried to pick it up with the regular vacuum, with and without beater bar but it couldn't pick the thing up either, a little piece of dark thin wood-like substance. I don't know what was so hard about that. I had read at least one review before buying this that said the tool gets a huge amount of hair and lint on its brushes so that a lot of work is required to remove it, like twice the work. So i was on the lookout for that. i hadn't swept or vacuumed the kitchen in a few weeks. I didn't see lint and hair when looking down at the tool after finishing but when i picked it up and turned it over, there was lint and dust and hair stuck to the tool's brush in some areas. i removed it from the wand and just used the wand itself with no tool (for max power) and was able to vacuum off all the lint ad dust and hair from the brush in about 10 or 15 seconds. I realize that people's floors vary in how much stuff they have on them so mine could well be less than others. My long haired dog has a summer hair cut so he's not shedding like before. But like i say, it had been a few weeks since the last time i vacuumed the kitchen. i was putting it off until i got this tool. So my verdict is, this is the easiest time i have ever had vacuuming the kitchen floor and i am very happy with the tool, what it does in the way it turns in all directions, almost all the way around, easily, to get close to walls and to go around chair legs and all kinds of places, again, i only regret i can't use it on the carpeted area. This is a favorite tool which i look forward to using again.
