It appears well made and fit perfectly. Being new, the lower rubber seal requires a small amount of patience to make sure the connection fits as the old one does. Remember your old one fits because it has formed itself over time just as this one will. You just have to finesse it into place. You can also put the rubber into a cup of hot water to make it softer, just give it a wipe with a paper tower before putting it on but I didn’t have to. It’s a great value and you’ll notice the wand will slide more easily back into the hose when you’re done. I do not know why Amazon wants you to rate the suction. The vac sucks, but this hose doesn’t! ;-) ... show more

    • Exactly as described, worked and was well made.
It fit perfectly, it was very easy to put in, my vacuum works as new once again. When you replace the big wand to the hose, it goes in without effort. It is hard to stop it from going in, than it used to be hard to put it away. It clicks into place without pushing, it fits like it was made for it. If you buy it and you have a different experience, you got a bad hose. I would describe it as PERFECTION. ... show more

The suction is much better, the previous hose must have been punctured for a year or more and I didn't know it.

    • Perfect replacement hose for my old Dyson DC17
My DC17 had lost its suction and I didn’t realize why until I pulled out the hose assembly to vacuum stairs and found that the hose had begun to come apart. I ordered this replacement hose and the hardest part to attach the new hose was finding a large straight edge screwdriver (no one puts anything back in its place in my house). I read the reviews about just pulling the old shredded hose out and that’s exactly what I did. To install the new hose, the longer end tube fit in through where the bottom is attached to the vacuum cleaner and I just pulled it through. In my vacuum there’s a red button that you push to attach/detach the hose on the wand/handle at the top and there’s a plastic tube you unlock on the bottom of the vacuum to install the new hose end into. It’s actually quite easy and my vacuum’s auction is like new again. ... show more
