The Dymo thermal labeler is, in theory, a great product. And then they messed it up. The thermal printer makes the need for wet ink go away. YAY! But then they mess it up and make proprietary printing software so you HAVE TO BUY their labels or your printer won't work. Yes, I said that. WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU PURCHASE DYMO LABELS. (There are work around hacks on YouTube but a $350 printer should not need that...) This printer also is not wireless even though it has a little light showing it could print wirelessly and it seems like I read that in the description. But it does not, you need to plug it into your computer. I was surprised that it is so clunky. A roll of labels was missing from the box so my labeler was imperfect to start with. I am returning this for all of these reasons. I bought an off brand thermal printer (smaller, easier set up, cheaper) and it works better than this one did. Picked this up during Prime Day in the middle of a book launch. It’s made sending out my Author-signed copies a breeze. No more HP printing, changing ink, cutting out paper and packing tape a label on my book packages. Lol

The DYMO LabelWriter 550 Turbo Label Printer Bundle is a good choice for anyone selling merch via mail. You can print on a regular printer, but it's harder to do single orders with sticker sheets. These are quality labels. It's great to be able to print out one label at a time. This is fast and clear. Great size. The con is that the 5 series all require you to use Dymo brand labels. The reasoning is that the printer can detect exact info on labels. But you pay a lot of that. You are locked into these expensive labels. So do you want quality or save $$? Really depends on you.
