In the rating section above it only askes for rating for "light weight" quality-so did not enter a number! If question was to rate "heavyweight" I would have put 5! It is exactly what I hoped for! It’s beautiful and snuggly and warm! It’s also big and thick. It does have a weird smell but it goes away after a few days especially if you’re using duvet cover (which I recommend) 10/10

We love the warmth of this comforter. It’s definitely a good comforter for cold weather. It can be a bit hot in warmer times of year, but we just switch to a different blanket in the summer. The one negative of this is that feathers often come through the material onto the sheets. So just be aware of that. Very warm! Maybe too warm for me! I love sleeping in the cold under a down comforter. I switched to a king size bed and had to buy a new comforter. This one is great, but maybe too hot. Arrived quickly and I love that the manufacturer included a “care card” on how to fluff up the duvet insert and how to care for it. I don’t memorize what temp and cycle to wash various fabrics at so that made it easy for me! No weird smell upon opening, and I let mine air for 30 min and then tossed in the dryer for 10 min on low. There is a nice small “poof” to it, and it is pretty warm. I’d never had a duvet have a crinkle sound before (see other reviews) and it does have a small crinkle sound when you move around, I guess some people like that? Overall I like it and it’s a good budget option ... show more
