Overall it's a great curtain & does black out about 85%. It's very heavy & will require installation equipment that can take the weight. The end seams have come apart in some spots ( about 1-2") but can be sewn to repair. I have had them up about 6mo now.

I use these as door covers. I like leaving my doors open so my furbabies can follow me whenever they please. It allows me privacy from humans but the company of my furbabies, without having to open or close a door. Also allows for more air circulation. They block cold/heat, very well. Can keep my bedroom air conditioner @60 and the door open and not lose any cold, or have any heat enter. Plus very easy to simply scooch the curtain to one side or the other if I want to completely open the doorway. They are also wonderful for using as closet doors so no room/space is taken up by an opening or sliding door. They are heavy, thick-ish, wash well (I always hang dry my curtains). I use either tension rods (shower curtain size) or wooden dowels (closet rod diameter) and rod end holder mounts for extra strength, in the doorjamb, to hold these. They're durable enough that my furbabies can climb them as well. I love these curtains. So many different uses. I highly recommend! ... show more
