  • Converts a DVI graphics card plug to HDMI 60Hz-75Hz Monitor.
Color: 2 PACK
I was using one video card with two monitors. The video card I was using has one DVI-I port and one HDMI. So one monitor hooked up to HDMI and one to DVI. But I had a major power surge in the building and it killed one of the two monitors. So I had to buy a new monitor. But I couldn't find very many choices of monitors that still used DVI. I frankly like DVI much more than HDMI but since HDMI has pretty much replaced them in the TV and monitor business, I decided to just get a monitor that had only HDMI plugs. But since my video card had only one HDMI, I had to convert the existing DVI port on the card to another HDMI one. One of these two adapters I will keep as a spare. The other adapter did convert DVI to HDMI really easily and worked up to the max timing my monitor can do (75Hz). The images look just as sharp and good on HDMI as they did on DVI. But there's a catch. No audio is passed through this adapter. But since I have my audio pass through the other monitor on the actual HDMI, I still have my sound on that monitor. So I didn't need to hook up separate sound systems. But if you are going to use these adapters, just know you will have to hook up a pair of speakers to whatever motherboard or sound card you have installed. I'm quite happy with these adapters. They allow my combo DVI-I and HDMI video cards to work like they are all HDMI ports (except for the missing sound pass-through). I highly recommend these for converting a video card DVI to a connector that any HDMI cable can attach to. I did not test to see if it would convert HDMI to DVI as I no longer have a DVI monitor to test this on. So I can't attest to this adapter being able to convert in both directions. ... show more

  • Not Bidirectional as advertised
Color: 2 PACK
Seller claims this adapter is Bidirectional, but it's not. I purchased the Benfei Bidirectional DVI (DVI-D) to HDMI Male to Female Adapter adapter because I wanted to use my old Gateway 700G monitor as a TV. I connected the adapter to the DVI port on my old Gateway 700G monitor with a standard HDMI cable to my set-top box with no luck. I even tried my laptops HDMI port, still no luck. It does however work when connected to my desktops video cards DVI port to an HD TV using an HDMI cable. ***I can't return the item because I had to modify the adapter (shave the plastic) slightly to fit a very tight tolerance in the monitors case to ensure it would seat properly. ... show more

  • Worked great to convert an old dvi/vga monitor to hdmi
Color: 2 PACK
I used this to connect an old dvi/vga monitor to a wired HDMI output. I essentially used this to connect the hdmi output of a game console to use it with an old gateway monitor with no HDMI connection. Worked fine.

  • It simply did not work for me
Color: 2 PACK
Unless I am completely misunderstanding compatibility, neither one of the two adapters shipped to me work when I plug an HDMI cable into them and then into my monitor's DVI port. The cable is HDMI 2.0 capable and my understanding is that HDMI 2.0 is backward compatible with all versions of HDMI. I know it isn't the HDMI cable because I plugged that directly into my TV, which HAS an HDMI port and the cable works beautifully. But when plugged into this adapter and then plugging that into my monitor, I am greeted with nothing but a black screen. Again, neither adapter worked. I rebooted my machine a few times, double-checked that everything was secure and still... nothing. I have no choice but to rate it 1 star and I almost never rate something 1 star. But if it does not work AT ALL, what choice do I have for my review? ... show more

  • Apple 30" to Mac Pro Did not work
Color: 2 PACK
I have a new Mac Pro 2019 with the Radeon 580x Graphic card. I tried to connect the Apple Cinema 30" LCD Monitor which originally came with my Mac Pro 2019 to the Mac Pro. It did not work and Apple Support could not help me. I tried to connect it via DVI to HDMI and DVI to ThunderBolt - Nothing worked. If someone out there has an answer, I'd love to hear it. ... show more

  • digital-to-digital adapter
Color: 2 PACK
This digital adapter is sleeker than others I have bought in the past. I have used DVI cables between my GPU and monitor for many years, but the new GPU doesn't have the DVI output. I now use an HDMI cable, with this adapter plugged up to the monitor, and have no troubles pushing full HD (1080p60) through it. The pack comes with two adapters, so if you're missing a longer DVI cable, you could theoretically use a longer HDMI cable for your pure DVI setup. Alternately, use on two separate monitors and two cables. This adapter does not pass the HDMI sound (to be expected; there's no sound on the DVI plug). ... show more

  • Not a One Cable Fix ALL.
Color: 2 PACK
The Product is somewhat useful. It helps with extracting the video from DVI connection to HDMI. Although the video is ALL you get, not audio. My dilemma is not that big of an issue because I already have a converter from digital (HDMI) to analog. All I have to do is use existing cables to add a signal to the cable allowing the sound to hitch a ride to my stereo. I would have to run RCA's (for sound) and the HDMI (for video), and I have a functioning DVD player without having to purchase a new one. If you're relying on the product to solve your issues by utilizing one cable (HDMI), SAVE YOUR MONEY. Not sure is the adapter is the issue for the video quality or the DVD player, but I do remember the player did look much better on when I did have it connected the other TV'S. Good Luck !! ... show more

  • Solved my issue
Color: 2 PACK
A video card upgrade almost lead to a forced monitor upgrade. My old video card had dual DVI outputs and I'm running dual monitors (both off DVI). I recently upgraded and the new card has only one DVI output, an HDMI, and a few Display Port connections. I initially tried an old DVI to HDMI cable (or maybe it was HDMI to DVI) which did not work to send video to my 2nd monitor. I ordered this adapter because it was the most affordable that had good reviews and claimed to be bidirectional. Now the display works as intended and I don't need to go buy a pricey new monitor. ... show more
