Update 2 months later: After a couple washes started pilling. Sad about it but you can’t really see it- just feel it. Although it’s still pretty comfortable, I’ll eventually replace due to this. It might also be better if You used a top sheet- maybe this would hinder this a little. Original: Was nervous to order this because it had no reviews. Happy to say that it is better than expected. the duvet stays inside nicely because it has a pocket like cover at the ends where the duvet fits in before you tie all the bows. Yes, its a little more work to do the bows every time-but they rarely come undone (something I was worried about). The material is SO soft and it makes the bed incredibly cozy. Plus, it looks great. perfect warm gray color. Have washed and thrown in dryer- you could probably iron it if you want that pressed look- but out of the dryer it has a nice soft natural wrinkle to the material-after put on the bed it has that nice cozy messy look to it. Not for you if you want super clean lines. Also I think this looks nicest with a real down duvet instead of down alternative because of the nice goofy look the down gives. ... show more

I was looking for that deconstructed look and this set achieves it. Layered with linen or soft cotton sheets, it's major inviting. Got the dark grey but it looks more medium gray to me, and I'm not sure it's cotton because it looks, feels more like microfiber cloth. It's soft, super smooth, and the ties at the bottom give it a feminine touch when tied into bows. There are tie strings on the inside corners which attach to your clips to secure the insert to the cover. I took a star off because there are several areas where the seams have frayed, a couple of minor tears at the seam here and there, and there's a weird piece of extra fabric coming out another area. I will need to mend those areas if it's going to hold up over the long haul, but it's no biggie. For some of us, getting the comforter/duvet insert into the cover is a major hassle and after fighting with it for an hour, it's just easier to keep the set and enjoy it! ... show more

Absolutely gorgeous duvet cover. I got the “dark grey” and it is true to the color in the seller’s pics. It’s INCREDIBLY soft, has a nice natural wrinkle, and is not overly thin. I put the pillow cases on bright yellow pillows and they do not show through at all. This doesn’t seem like the kind of fabric that would pill. There are two ties sewn on the inside at the top to hold the duvet inside, but they could use a few more stitches. The bottom has an envelope of fabric to hold in the bottom, and the the outer ties. The title is misleading as this duvet cover is not cotton but polyester. That being said, it is as soft as a cloud. It’s positively yummy. I bought a white duvet at Kohls and this duvet cover is perfect over it. There are little ties in each corner to hold the cover in place. The fabric is quite thin but I’m glad I bought it, the bows are sweet and add a little detail. ... show more

I returned this product. In the picture it looked like there was a pattern to the duvet, similar to a down comforter. However, tricky tricky photography - there is no pattern. So it simply looks like a sheet with ties on the end of it. It is very soft and a pretty gray though. If you do not want a patterned or tucked duvet then I would say buy this, but if you want a little style to it then do not purchase. When looking at the duvets on Amazon, most look like they have a pattern, so LOOK CLOSER, most do not, they are flat sheets with corner pockets ... show more

It’s thin and doesn’t look like the photo, as it’s not textured and only has ties at the bottom to make it more than a pillow case for a duvet. It’s a different, more beige color as well, so not at all what I was expecting. It’s not warm, but is relatively soft. I have adapted to using a throw to decorate it and make it look somewhat acceptable, but it was overpriced for the quality and presentation. Also, it was misrepresented in the product photo. I'VE HAD IT FOR A FEW DAYS AND I NOTICED IT WAS VERY LOW POOR QUALITY FABRIC, IT STARTED HAVING RUNS AND THINNING THAT LOOK LIKE LONG BLOTCHES THAT MADE IT LOOK OLD AND USED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS IN SUCH POOR SHAPE WITH ONLY A FEW DAYS OF RECEIVING IT. "NOTE IT'S NOT USED FOR LAYING ON, BUT JUST AS A COVER FOR MY BED". I’ve been using thus duvet cover for a few months now. It’s a great color and it is so pretty and soft. I use it in combination with a quilt, so I have only had to wash it once. My husband’s pillowcase does have a lot of pilling, which is why I removed one star, but everything else is in great condition. I feel like it would probably be more worn out if it were the only blanket I was using. Not the sturdiest piece of bedding I have ever owned, but that is to be expected for the price I paid for it. I bought the king size and I’m happy with the way it fits over my deep mattress. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it! ... show more
