The product, either size, is suitable for field work. The magnets are spaced out a bit too much which results in small groupings of screws and bolts, and longer items like drill bits don't cling as well for a lot of movement. However if you are mostly steady the wrist band works well... I wrap it around the butt of the impact drill and stick stuff to it that way. It's less bulky that way and frees up my movement. I would like to see a Velcro strap that's not quite so wide so I could attach it to a vest or backpack loop.

My son asked me to help him redo his deck and was surprised when I showed up with these. He fell in love with it pretty quick. It saves a lot of time walking to the box of screws and frees your hand up to pry a board or angle a screw. You have to be a little careful to place the screws in a row on the band so they all touch a magnet and you don't want it on your hammer wrist because you can send screws flying. Also, it will cause your wrist to sweat profusely on a hot summer day. But those minor issues are more than made up for by the speed you can finish up and admire your new deck with a glass of sweet tea.

Average size man, 6' tall 205 lbs and could not use on my wrist, had to move up towards the forearm. The smaller one fit my wife ok. Magnet could be stronger. Only use when I'm up on a ladder. These would never last if used all day. Not impressed at all.
