These Durango Men’s Patriotic PullOn Western Flag Boots completely exceeded my expectations in every way. From the second I opened the box, I could tell these weren’t your average pair of western boots. Everything—from the look to the feel—just screamed quality. Starting with the design, these boots are absolutely eye-catching. The American flag pattern is done beautifully. It's a bold and detailed, but still tasteful and rugged, not flashy or overdone. The stitching is clean and precise, and the colors really pop without looking cheap. The Black/Brown tones mixed with the flag design give them a strong, masculine look that stands out in the best way. These are the kind of boots that people notice immediately—and I’ve had multiple people ask me where I got them. If you like showing pride in your country, these boots are a perfect way to do it. You can be very patriotic wearing them without saying a word—they speak for themselves. Now let’s talk comfort, because that’s where these boots really shine. I was honestly expecting some kind of break-in period like most western boots, but that really wasn’t the case here. Right out of the box, they felt comfortable and supportive. So I ordered these boots in a 15 Wide, and was super excited about them. They showed up while I was at work, I got home and immediately kicked off my Ariats and went to pull these on. Instant disappointment. My heel didn’t go past the top lip and the shaft of the boot was not cooperating nor easy to slide my foot through. It’s almost as if someone overlooked the need for extra room in other places on the boot rather than the sole itself, thus making it difficult for a guy with a large foot like me to get it on. I feel like if I was 3 or 4 sizes smaller it wouldn’t be an issue. I almost returned them right then and bought another pair of Ariats But I said no biggie I can adapt and find a solution. So I grabbed my multi tool, grabbed the top of the back of the boot and yanked it over my heel and wouldnt you know it if they didn’t fit. Maybe a little tight on the leg cause of the narrow shaft but snug and extremely comfortable on the foot. I’ve worn these boots a whole work week now, over 60 hours of hard use and I still have to use pliers to get them on but they broke in the first day in the foot area, no chafing or blisters. Super comfy soles. Got rid of my foot pain after two days. But I have noticed the sole on the bottom looks cool with the transparent graphic and all but there’s next to no tread cut into it. There’s more like smooth grooves. And I’ve noticed twice that my foot slid easy on a wet slick surface like metal and wet trailer planks. Now those are usually easy surfaces to fall and slip on with any amount of tread no matter the type of tread so I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt so far. The wet season is quickly moving in so we shall see how they stand up to being soaked and cold for long hours. And snow soon after which is the ultimate decider. Wow! Wow! Wow! I’m not a pro at cowboy boots but I am a pro at comport. I know what human feet like. I tried many expensive boots before I bought this pair. If you are not the guy who is ready spend $2000 or more for boots and who need a boots to wear at work or go in the town with your girl or your friends. This simple quality and perfectly good looking boot will meet your satisfaction. Man, this boots are like revolution to experience cowboy boots! You have to wear them before get your own opinion. I’m a city guy with an 11 acre homestead I’ve had lacrosse snake boots that fell apart 2 times. I decided to try a pair of these. They are very comfy. I got American flag version just as an accent that was for a different purpose but these things are 10 stars comfy out of 5. Easy to get on and off. No blisters.
