  • Absolutely worth the investment
Style: 4 Count
I used to buy the regular AA and AAA batteries, the non-rechargeable kind, and I always felt gypped when they would die after a month of heavy use and then guilty after throwing them away knowing they would end up in a river and eventually the mercury would leak out and kill all the fish. Now, I buy these. After they die, I recharge them and use them again. And again and again and again. They last about 5 years before they stop taking a charge. They are then recycled so they don't end up in a landfill. It also saves me a boatload of money since I'm not constantly buying batteries (which are expensive). Do yourself a favor, buy a dozen of these and a Duracell/Energizer charger for them. Have enough to keep a constant rotation of fresh batteries while the discharged ones recharge. You'll save a ton of money, which you can then use to buy beer or handbags or whatever... ... show more

  • I wouldn’t say the batteries last song, but it doesn’t matter because you can recharge them
Style: 4 Count + Charger
I have a couple light installments in my home, such as fairy lights and a globe that lights up and they require batteries and I usually keep them on all the time. It’s so easy to just pop them in the charger and replace them every couple days; saves me so much money. I can’t believe I waited so long to purchase rechargeable batteries, but I bought two sets of them. I’m going to buy one more so I can constantly have a rotation of batteries that are charged. It’s so worth it. Never having to purchase AA batteries again is top-tier. ... show more

  • Duracell AA Batteries May Prove Difficult to Remove
Style: 4 Count
I have an Eveready charger which has worked for both Duracell and Eveready rechargeable batteries for years. Duracell says it should not matter, but the thickness or 'skin' on recent Duracell AA batteries makes them fit very tight and even become near impossible to remove from the plastic they engage to recharge. Different chargers may have better results, but several of the 4 I received were way too tight, and I returned them. ... show more

  • The charger is nonsense. It's an 8 hour plug in type.
Style: 4 Count + Charger
Call me spoiled, but I like the rapid 15 minute chargers. The clock takes two batteries. To charge all four and use the other two when the others are depleted is not ideal. Charging two at a time quickly is the way to go.

  • Works Just Fine
Style: 4 Count + Charger
The combo charger and batteries was a good value. I got this to charge Thunderbird batteries (from an unnamed store) that were rated as good as Duracell and quite a bit less expensive. It charged those just like you'd expect a charger to do. I mean, a charger is just a plastic thing that holds the metal pins that are attached to the wire that goes into the wall. So if you had the plug in the wall, you could charge a battery with the bare wire without a device, but only one at a time. and then you'd risk getting a little shock if you get tired of holding it. That's why chargers are so cheap, because it just a box of plastic and a few pins with a wire attached to it; there' nothing mysterious inside of it. ... show more

  • Consistent quality...& last a long time.
Style: 4 Count
Duracell has always been my favorite brand of alkaline batteries, & now have become my favorite Nimh rechargeable batteries. I use 3 different brands...& so far I prefer Duracell (sold & delivered by Amazon) over Energizer. To be fair, I haven't used my Eneloop rechargeable batteries yet...so I can't say anything about them...yet. I plan to in the future though. They have a great reputation. Anyway, the Duracell that are copper & green...have been extremely consistent when I charge them on my charger that is not a basic battery charger at all. It tells everything you need to know about a rechargeable battery when charging...& when they are finished charging. It charges 4 batteries at a time. The voltage, maH (capacity), & ma (resistance) are basically identical in every way after charging. That says A LOT to me. They also have a higher maH @ 2,500....compared to Energizer. And so far, none have gone bad on me yet. A couple of my Energizer batteries have lost their usefulness. I can see that there resistance has become way too high to use, so they were retired. To be fair, I've had them for quite awhile now. Anyway, I really like & trust Duracell, a lot. So far.....they've been great. I only use rechargeable nimh batteries now. I really like the idea, of being able to recharge batteries...& use them over and over again. Saves money & not wasteful! I'm not sure if there is any difference, between the ones that are copper & green vs. the ones that are copper & black. Most likely, they just changed the way they look. I like the way the copper & green ones look...lol. I know it doesn't make any difference on how they perform, of course...but they look "cooler" to me. To sum it up, I would definitely recommend Duracell. They are very consistent...& last a long time in my devices. I mainly use AA batteries, so I can't form an opinion on their AAA batteries, yet. I hope this has been helpful. ... show more

  • Attempted to make Solar LED lights last longer
Style: 4 Count
I had hoped that the higher amp hour rating would have made lights burn longer, but don't really seem to have had any positive results over generic 1800 mAH batteries.
