  • It worked!
This SAVED ME from an expensive fix. Too bad no car mechanic wanted to give me the scoop! My car had been jerking at low speeds due to a clogged converter. Car shop wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to replace it and gave me no alternative solution. Found this product from YouTube vids and then read the reviews! I had nothing to lose so I put this in my gas tank when it was half a tank and drove it for an hour. My car usually jerked every time I accelerated from a stop. Eventually the more I drove it, the jerking wasn’t so rough… then it started to jerk every other stop. Then only one jerk every other stop… then only jerked after a couple miles of driving. And now, it doesn’t jerk at all and no check engine light!! Omg I’m sooooo thankful for this product! My car is also driving much better in general! It did great for my car! The thing is, it won’t fix right away… the more you drive is the more it’ll run through the converter and clean it so don’t think it’ll work after just 1 hour etc. Also if your clog is super bad, use 2 bottles. First bottle -let it be concentrated so put it in when you are at a quarter tank of gas and run it to almost empty. Then put the Second bottle in with an almost full tank of gas! This will declog for sure! Don’t waste money buying a new catalytic converter before trying this. ... show more

  • Affordable Solution That Worked for Me
Dura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust Treatment Cleaner Fuel Additive exceeded my expectations. While it may not be a permanent fix for catalytic converter issues, it definitely got the job done for me. After running two bottles through my gas tank, it cleared my check engine code long enough for me to get my car inspected. This product is an affordable and easy-to-use option that’s worth trying before spending hundreds—or even thousands—on catalytic converter repairs or replacements. It’s a practical solution if you need a quick, temporary fix to address emissions-related codes. While I can’t speak to its long-term effectiveness, I’m impressed with how well it worked in my situation. I highly recommend giving it a shot if you’re looking for an inexpensive way to address catalytic or exhaust system issues. It might just save you some time and money. ... show more

  • Worked temporarily -- will use some more and see how it goes
I drive a fairly old Honda Odyssey (2008) with 160+k miles, and have been getting P0430 (bank 2 catalyst below efficiency threshold). This engine has the variable cylinder control (VCM) which is known in some circles to cause a lot of oil consumption, especially on bank 2 cylinders, so I've disabled that feature, but still get the code, as my bank 2 catalyst is probably very very fouled. The bottle says, add 1 ounce per gallon, so I poured the 16 ounce bottle into a partially full gas tank (probably had about 12-16 gallons in there). After 100 miles of driving, the check engine light went away on its own and stayed that way till the end of the tank. Unfortunately, upon refilling the tank with new gas, the engine light came back pretty soon, but the fact that it worked once gave me some hope. Ordered a couple more bottles of this stuff. Prior to this, I've replaced spark plugs, all oxygen sensors, and tried the "LiquiMoly Catalytic Cleaner", which requires you to take apart the air intake and spray it directly into a running engine... which is annoying, and it didn't clear my engine codes permanently either. So, at least this is more user friendly, and I'll give it some more tries. ... show more

  • Has not worked for me.
I have a 2020 ford f150 3.5 EcoBoost. I tried this product 3 different times and it didn't work for me. I red in the reviews that it has worked for other people, but unfortunately it hasn't worked for me.

  • Promising ...
I don't want just to say it works without giving details, but it could be hard as there is no objective data or measurement to present. I will try to tell the long story short, and you can see how it is working. 2005 Honda Pilot, over 190k miles. Late 2019, the check engine light came on for the first time while I am driving and it went off before I could brought it to the shop to check. I mentioned it to the mechanic when brought my car to do maintenance, he checked it and said the it was catalytic converter and asked me to just pay attention, and probably no need to do any check or fix soon. The light came back on and then off maybe a handful of times, but remained off for the most. The car passed the emission inspection at the end of 2019 without any problem. 2020, due to Covid and work from home for over nine months out of the year, I did not drive the car much the entire year, probably about 300 miles a month(used to be 1.3k - 1.5k miles a month). The check engine light came on and off became worse and worse. I bought a code reader and checked it, it is P420. I kept on discussing with my mechanic he kept on saying it probably not worth the effort and money to diagnose and fix, and if it can pass the emission, it should be okay. By the end of the year, I was driving with the check engine light on around 80 to 90% of the time. The light did go off once a while but it would come back on shortly. The car passed the emission test again in December. While discussing about the check engine light with the gentleman who ran the emission test, he told me that there might be some cleaner I can use to see if it could correct the issue. That lead me to buy this. During the first bottle with about 16 gallon of gas, the check engine light went off after about 50 miles of driving, stayed off for about 80 miles, then came on again and stayed on for another 60 or 70 miles, then off and on again right around time the tank was near empty (240 miles). I got another tank of gas without the cleaner, about 30 miles later, the light went off, and now I have about 150 miles with this tank of gas it has stayed off. My conclusion is that it is very clear, this cleaner works. I plan to get a few more bottles and continue to use it until the check engine light stays off for good. ... show more

  • Liquid mechanic
When my engine light goes on, I put a bottle of that stuff in my gas tank and the light doesn’t come on for 3 to 5 months. It’s an awesome product.
