Stuff works well. Used on a BMW. It fills the deep scratches well but I would combine this product with some body filler putty. 1) add body filler putty to deep scratches 2) use paint leveler on a towel to wipe of excess 3) sand (1000 grit all the way to 3000) and buff 4) paint primer onto putty and around and wait 15 min 5) sand and buff again but this time only with 3000 grit but only sideways in 1 direction to reduce paint drip 6) make sure surface is extremely smooth and perfect, a good prime job will result in a good finished product 7) ensure there are no dents or scratches left from sanding. Now is the time to make the primer look good as it dries fast and you can sand 8) you don't want to waste the colorcoat and continually sand because you didn't use enough putty or enough primer or sand enough 9) apply the colorcoat ontop of the primer and putty. APPLY LIGHTLY. Thin coats. You don't want paint drip. And spray far away. 10) apply the second colorcoat after waiting 15 min. 11) apply the clearcoat in 2 coats lightly, allowing 15 min to dry. Much better than Rust-Oleum 249279 Automotive 11-Ounce Filler Primer Spray Paint, Gray - see my review for the problems I had with Rustoleum. This comes in a smaller can, but I got better coverage. MUCH superior spray tip, which makes a big difference. This did not not fill any better than the Rustoleum, so you have to sand well and fill any small dings or edges.The even spraying tip means it's easier to apply several even coats - I didn't sand between coats, and only a light hand sanding was needed after three coats of primer.     • The Nozzle is so bad it ruins the paint job

Any good this primer may provide is ruined by the paint can nozzle which drips and spits causing a mess on your surface and surrounding areas which have to be cleaned up. The primer itself is for medium to deep scratches only. In a relative sense, it is thick. I contacted this company for help regarding the spitting and received no response. I will not use products from this company again. Local automotive paint suppliers are a much better way to go. There have been other complaints about this stuff "spitting". I experienced the spitting also. I tried shaking the can more, cleaning the tip, depressing the nozzle lightly, moderately and fully. Nothing helps this issue and the spitting greatly injures your effort to repair and paint. ... show more

Purchased a Dorman 955-1719 Honda Pilot Passenger Side Powered Fold Away Side View Mirror from Amazon, which is perfect and Honda Pilot Dupli-Color "Gray Perfect Match". Not even close to Honda color nor to cap color on can. Product worked well out of the can, good spray and ease of use. BUT how they advertise as a match is beyond me; photo attached of "Gray Perfect Match" cap, and painted mirror on top of mirror to be replaced. Amazon immediately issued a refund and will review quality control for this patch. Thank you Amazon for excellence in Customer Service. Off to a Honda Dealership for the CORRECT PAINT! ... show more

Used this to prep a replacement bumper for my Titan that has to be color matched. Paint was super easy to apply and went on with zero runs. The nozzle that comes with the cans is great so it is hard to overdo it. Took one full can to put this finish on the bumper.

perfectly matched the color of my Honda Pilot, i used this with the primer and clear coat by the same company and didnt have any problems with it running, i just made sure to put on 3 light coats of this (9 coats in all including the primer and clear coat) waiting 10min in between each coat

I have experience as a car painter, I usally use a gun. This can was awful, it dripped like someone punctured a hole in it or something while spraying. Not very useful if the top of the can is filling with primer and dripping everywhere. Wouldn’t recommend.

Maybe I received a defective spray can but the paint spit out and dripped on the car all over, yes I followed directions to shake well. I have used many spray cans over the years this one was very bad. It will not spray out correctly and sputtering everywhere.
